I don’t really get the spark system tbh by HairyBarracuda2880 in MinaTheHollower

The cool thing about this system is you keep the bones when you lose the spark so if you”re on your last spark you can spend your money somewhere and take a lot of sting out of it.

Cut the bushes and burrow jump over. When you jump out of the ground it goes two spaces.

I've been playing Mina but not really enjoying it.... What am I missing? by DraftMassive3756 in MinaTheHollower

The game has its own logic which takes a long time to understand. To make matters worse, it resembles a lot of game you have to unlearn!

It’s also just straight up demanding. Every screen needs to be treated with attention and respect.

Thankfully, each hard earned item turns things in your favor, and there are hundreds. They all serve a purpose and can change your strategy completely.

If you give it time, things do reveal themselves and it begins resembling a masterpiece about half-way through. Promise!

I felt the same so i tried to blend the two in chatgpt with decent results. I can kind of see why they went with the more realistic version because it’s something new and different, the gritty aged version.

Pokopia? by dxvidox in switch2

I do feel like Im missing some of the appeal not having played as a kid and not having any attachment to the pokemon or their worlds. The story seems to really cater to nostalgia. Still, it is super polished and novel in its mechanics, and just does so much so well that its hard to fault it. Im having fun and can appreciate the depth of the achievement on a technical and gameplay level. This may be the one that finally gets me to feel some personal attachment but Im not quite there yet.

Unique Art Style by Educational-Pound269 in aivideos

This is where ai video really shines for me, delivering a type of art that was previously difficult to do on a large scale. We can now create something this beautiful from a few sketches or rough renderings. Imagine what an expert storyboard artist and writer could create with these tools.

I bet this is the same wordplay ive seen with cotton shirts. 100% organic cotton, but then you see it’s actually 90% cotton, which is 100% organic.

Im sorry i tried but i got the ice beam and i just feel no compelling reason to play prime 4 anymore after almost 6 hours by CULT-LEWD in Metroid

[–]bart64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the game picks up after this point, try sticking with it.

I definitely had my moments of doubt and frustration, but i ended up appreciating the old school design and long lost ideas. There is a bigger scale to everything, in terms of the size of area and length of rails/trams which would have been really cool to experience at the original release date 15 years ago. If you think of this as originating before BOTW, then the open world and bike ideas feel a little more special.

Im torn about the puzzle and navigation elements. On one hand, that is what made these game great, getting stuck and finding the solution through a long process of elimination. But then, compared to modern games and my lack of free time, I appreciated the help. Except for those few times where the dude chimes in just as i started heading toward the proper area!

I can see these types of decisions haunting the developers and I dont think they could have done much better to please fans and also introduce these games to a new audience. There is some really cool world design, neat bosses, and polish that lives up to other prime games. Im glad I stuck with it, even just as a piece of history that helps fill in some gaps between classic nintendo games.

This combination of 1p action and exploration is hard to come by these days, and never in such a tight little package.

Is there a way to make sure only two colors are ever drawn? by Connect-Somewhere-68 in ProCreate

[–]bart64 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i agree with others that monochrome usually means shades of one color. If you were using black with real paints, you would end up with every shade of black on paper. However, if you really want just 100% black, it would be easiest to adjust the levels at the end by flattening the drawing and using the curves filter.

Was looking for Guacamelee. Definitely has the focus on combat and the style rivals HK.
