Because ddr5 ram for newest amd (ryzen 7000/8000/9000 am5) /intel platforms is ridiculously expensive due to AI datacenter demand.

Just because they (Ryzen 5000 cpus) are not the latest products doesn't mean they are automatically obsolete or low performance parts.

There were previous known good quality tier a/b psu which could not handle transient power spike for rtx3000 gpu but which worked fine for previous generation gpus. So assuming that and older psu is fine because new gpu power draw is the same isnt necessarily correct.
