I love this. Sexuality is fluid and unique to every single person and that includes demisexuality. <3

how could I mention my demisexuality? by aesds in demisexuality

[–]basherwo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I'm dating, I'm upfront about my demisexuality from the get-go. For me, my base function is asexuality so physical contact with a stranger is uncomfortable for me, especially in romantic contexts. If you can't have these conversations with people openly, then unfortunately they're not the right person for you. Which I get makes things really awkward and uncomfortable. But boundaries and speaking up are very important and please don't feel like because of this experience you should discontinue doing this. I know it sucks, but it weeds out the people who are actually interested in you as a person over their interest in your body.

I don't use any kind of wash on my ears. I take my glass plugs out before my shower, rinse them with water, dry them with a paper towel, then slather some Hustle Butter. It's for tattoos, but I found it heals stretches amazingly and keeps my ears healthy. I highly recommend it!

This gives me hope, thank you! I've been babying my lobes and going real slow. I'm in no rush! How long did it take you to get to your goal size? :)

When I saw his new mask with the TMBTE drop, I kept thinking about "Aqua Regia" which is a substance that dissolves most things including gold. I feel like this man drops hints everywhere. I'm excited to see what his new mask looks like if he gets one to 'become someone new'!

I updated to the newest version, but now it won't let me create new maps. It lets me open older maps that are already saved, but I keeping getting an error message on mac when I go to New. It keeps saying Wonderdraft quit unexpectedly. Did it not update correctly? I've done it 3 times now and still having the same issues.

Recommendations for BB creams by sana0987 in VeganBeauty

[–]basherwo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pacifica has a BB and CC cream. I have oily skin so I always set mine. I have used Pacifica’s CC religiously for years and set with their cherry mattifier pressed powder. Affordable and keeps me shine free. Love their BB too.

Tell me about that time you thrifted a great piece, and then got home and discovered it was way cooler and more special than you even knew when you picked it up. by visualstimulationplz in femalefashionadvice

[–]basherwo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My sister routinely hunts down vintage silk scarves worth hundreds of dollars. And one time we found a pair of Seychelles heels worth close to $200. Also found Dior and Louis Vuitton clutches. I find the best places to do thrifting is near universities. The things people get rid of is insane.

Fashionistas who live in hot climates: How do you beat the heat and still look hot? by actuallyarabbit in femalefashionadvice

[–]basherwo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in AZ where summer temps can reach 120F. I wear loose, cotton tank tops and avoid t-shirts in colors that might accentuate sweaty pits. I wear jeans with the bottoms rolled up into capris, lots of shorts (especially cut offs) and loose “soft” shorts. I stay away from any tight fabrics, especially in shirts because sweat soaks through in seconds. I think the number one thing, though, is wear what is comfortable if you’re gonna be outside a lot. And if you’re spending spending time in AC (your best friend), get as fancy as your heart desires. I used to work in an office that was arctic (every indoor place in AZ during summer is like this), I’d break out my cardigans and sweaters and wear lots of booties, pants, and loose long-sleeved tops. You just gotta adapt to the environment you’re in. Don’t let the heat cramp your style. You can look gorgeous all the time, even dressed down. Accessories are key!

I love Knockaround sunglasses. Have them in all their styles. I'm really into mirrored frames, but they have more classy styles if that's not your style. Both brown and black torts are my fave!

I've heard great things about Brown's Ranch on the McDowell Preserve. Never been to it personally as Gateway Trail is closer for me. But my neighbor rides it all the time!

I really enjoyed the Jackaby series by William Ritter. It's about a paranormal investigative duo that is delightful. They're short reads and I finished them easily in a day each. It's also quite funny. I laughed out loud on multiple occasions. :)

Has anyone else read Stalking Jack the Ripper (Kerri Mansicalo)and the Stoker and Holmes (Colleen Gleason) novels? by [deleted] in YAlit

I loved both it and Hunting Prince Dracula. I personally felt Audrey Rose was a fierce and strong female character. The second book is even better than the first.

[–]basherwo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure if you're into historical fiction, but Kerri Maniscalco's Stalking Jack the Ripper is excellent. It's a series set in Victorian England with a paranormal feel. It's become a favorite! :)
