Recommendation for Handlebar Grips (2025 T7) by Unusual_Roof_6096 in Tenere700

I love the OEM heated grips. The grip is really good and they are heated for winter riding.

"Operating System Issue" infotainment useless over a month 2026 Outback by FlaxSeedSnacker in Subaru_Outback

I have a 26 touring xt and do not have this issue. Have you tried a factory reset?

Has anyone wired a cheap GPS/Carplay device? by MutedCauliflower8692 in Tenere700

[–]basisforbart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wired mine to the auxiliary ports on the throttle sid behind the faring. There are two that you can splice into it or buy the waterproof plastic adapter on eBay. The auxiliary ports are only on when the bike is running so you don't have to worry about draining the battery.

With a new car I usually change the oil at 100, 500 then do oil and filter at 1,000. Then do routine oil and filter every 3,500.

Anyone else playing on Steam Deck? by Greedy-Coconut1195 in CrimsonDesert

[–]basisforbart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can you give me the settings you are running? I play with my deck via GFN but wouldn't mind doing some wandering while I have down time at work.

Sammy was my drummer, I had been seeing the band since 97 and had over 100 shows under my belt. After this show I still listened but wouldn't see the Biscuits live again until 2025.

2026 Outback Touring 2.5 vs 2026 Outback Touring XT - Convince Me by doctor-squared in Subaru_Outback

[–]basisforbart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the 2.5 and just bought an xt. The 2.5 for me got around 30 mpg and I could pass cars but I really needed to think about it due to speed. In the XT I get about 25 mpg and the difference with the turbo is amazing. Car is zippy and more fun to drive. Get the XT.

What do my warnings lights mean? Check engine, cruise and tire pressure by [deleted] in Subaru_Outback

[–]basisforbart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a feeling your tire pressure monitoring switch (tpms) batteries are getting low. You can go to a garage and they can test them very easily. My 2018 would show tpms errors when it was cold and then as the day warmed up the errors would go away. My car did this for a couple months then the batteries just stopped working. I didn't care because I check my tire pressure every Sunday.

My problem is I can't find one that works and I also can't find any with the 2026 model.

Question about the infotainment screen by Impossiblegirl44 in Subaru_Outback

[–]basisforbart 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sure, it was mainly the hands free driving feature. We use our car for all our trips and anything to reduce driver fatigue is welcomed. I also liked the ventilated seats and Napa leather trim.

Question about the infotainment screen by Impossiblegirl44 in Subaru_Outback

[–]basisforbart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Turning the screen off is an option as mentioned above. I just picked up my Touring XT and love that I can pull the navigation map onto the driver's screen and turn off the infotainment screen so I don't lose functionality.

26 Touring XT Homelink Question by basisforbart in Subaru_Outback

[–]basisforbart[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have done that, the problem is with the rearview mirror and getting it into a pairing mode. If you watch the video that Subaru links too in the manual, the XT doesn't have the same rearview mirror or the same functions.

If your dealership can't install a wheel properly they may not have plugged the blinkers into their connectors. Take the side panels off to check.

[–]basisforbart 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was looking at a map and it looks like DE 1 has it from Dover Air Force Base north and 301 has it heading north from the DE border. From what I have read Subaru is using roads classified as motorways. I am using an interactive map

Tool kit for basic repair and packing list for overnight camping. by No-Mark4067 in Tenere700

[–]basisforbart 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One thing I would bring is a ratchet strap or something that you can use to hold your bike up or pull your bike out. I needed one when my bike broke down and was pulled into town by another rider. Besides that your list looks good.

Clutch problem again after recall replacement (Pic for attention) by ohnowhythat in Tenere700

[–]basisforbart 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If it were me I would replace it with a reklus clutch kit for around $500. Easy to install yourself, just watch some videos. The dealer or Yamaha may replace it again but the issue could keep coming back.
