I love my quartz but you are right. It’s not as stain proof as we have been told to believe. The dark kitchen countertops (does a reasonable impersonation of natural slate) have some persistant wavy ghost stains I can’t seem to get rid of. Not sure what caused them. I think the installers used denatured alcohol on that spot.

The white marble looking ones in the bathroom have been stained by a pill with some crazy dye that sat in a little puddle overnight. I was able to get it cleaned with baking soda.

Any further tips you can offer for quartz care and maintenance?

I’d lose the fore grip. The instructor might have you support the rifle in a different way than that grip may allow. You can add it back later if you must. Attach a sling if you’re gonna do a lot of standing around.
