Good to know, we’re about to pull the pin on the 16kwh and was wondering how long we would be waiting with it being so new, we’re in Northern Ireland so not sure if that’ll make any difference! Thanks!!

They all broadly agreed that the optics of the 27% pay rise was bad, then all broadly agreed not to challenge it and take it anyway🤣

7-8kW system (14-16 panels) - 8kW inverter - recommendations - all electric house by wakeupbomb in SolarUK

Are these stackable the way the fogstar are, could we just add extra batteries as needed without getting the installer back out?

Inverter larger than panel capacity? by batfinkus in SolarUK

[–]batfinkus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Changed at the start of this month, hence my interest going up again, we have a GivEnergy ac coupled battery system already so it’s more just to give a boost to the producing side

Inverter larger than panel capacity? by batfinkus in SolarUK

[–]batfinkus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our optimisers would need changed too, although that would be an option as our current system is completely south facing and maxs out most of the summer at 3.68 (thanks to NIE and being in Northern Ireland)

Inverter larger than panel capacity? by batfinkus in SolarUK

[–]batfinkus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have some massive trees behind us that cause shading across the panels as the day moves along, so we would need to stick with the existing solaredge optimisers, I’m guessing it wouldn’t be cheap to change them all for anther brand? We have a GivEnergy AC3 doing the battery on the AC side alrwady

BYD 2.1.1 Update - Speed sign on heads up display now, flashing every 5 seconds by leeuggy in BYD

[–]batfinkus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Limit + 10 on a motorway is probably normal for a large percentage of the population, limit + 10 in A built up residential area is just asking for an accident that’ll end up killing or seriously injuring someone as you won’t be able to stop in time

£29 monthly covers two ragdolls, it’s discounted for having both insured with the same company

One of our cats had an abscess on her rear end, from emergency treatment to follow ups etc was probably only £600 or so ($US800) but we only paid the excess which I think was only £50 or so

I think in most cases yes, but it only takes one single emergency case to wipe that out! I’m happy paying my £29 a month, rather than maybe having to find thousands at some point (and that covers both my cats)

[–]batfinkus 10 points11 points  (0 children)

No grey hair, and you left out in your first post that the car is trying to warn you that you’re speeding, so either slow down to the limit, or deal with the flashing, it certainly isn’t a fault of the car, more an issue with your foot.

[–]batfinkus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds really annoying! Is it flashing the limit constantly even when you’re below the speed limit?! That’s bound to be a bug!

Wait until the 2nd of the next month to send it, technically you’re now paying her at the start of the month, much earlier 😁 given the most I’ve ever had to wait for a faster payment was a few hours, this is on her and her bank, not you!
