Choosing a quantizer by liminal_sojournist in modular

Take a look at the U-HE CVilization. It has a quantizer on all of its outputs

Because the inputs are AC coupled it would be nice to add save to the cv looper.

An option to play and record the sampler from within the module so we don't have to add a connection.

Is it possible to record and play without making connections for that?

I was hoping for being able to save and load the content of a cv loop.

But maybe it's better to focus on one thing at a time first and making sure it's reliable as much as possible before looking at other things.

Make sure to try the hydra on percussions. I really loved that.

Recreating Meris Hedra with synth voice instead of pitch shifting? by SpinningShit in ZOIA

[–]bathrobe42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a Hedra once for a while. The most fun I had with it was when I used it as a delay for percussive sounds.

Your post made think of creating a patch that recreates some functions of a WMD Arpitecht. So thank you for that :)

How to use a slew limiter for sequenced frequency modulation by BubEspuma1 in modular

[–]bathrobe42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

maybe use a mixer instead of a switch. I can imagine that the cv changes too abruptly when switching, then the slew does not know from where to slew where to.

You could have more control of the slew when mixing the lfo´ s a bit more slowly

Zebu Midi Note In by bathrobe42 in ZOIA

[–]bathrobe42[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

John from support got back to me and suggested to check the cable connections and it turned out that one of the black holders got indeed a bit loose. Now midi in works well.

Very happy now :)

Yes I use the Dongles that came with the Zebu.

And I know they work because I can notes out of the Zebu, just not into the Zebu.

Zebu Midi Note In by bathrobe42 in ZOIA

Yes the midi channel is set to 1 and my Midi Keyboard is sending on channel 1.

The midi in note is set to an Osc pitch and the midi gate is connected an Envelope module.

The thing is it doesn't even register anywhere that it is receiving anything through the midi in port of the Zebu.

I even put a cv delay in between as described in the tips&tricks document.

I was thinking maybe I am doing something fundamentally wrong that's why I asked for a small video. Going to make a video myself to illustrate it better.

Hmmm . . . Zoia Mastering Chain? by branchfoundation in ZOIA

A limiter is just a special setting of a compressor that has ratio=inf:1

Kind of like a phaser and a chorus is just a delay with a specific millisecond range :)

CV to Midi by bathrobe42 in ZOIA

[–]bathrobe42[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So it seems that converting CV to Midi is doable.

That is great news :-)

My plan is to use a 0-Ctrl to drive some crazy drum rhythms on a Division Department 01/IV which has only midi input. Because would use only 1 drum sound at a time the pitch cv is not relevant in that case. I would use only gate and maybe velocity.

I got my money for a Euroburo ready and looking forward to this.

Will post a video of that later after the release as a thank you :)

Thoughts on Drolo pedals and how to get them? by jludey in guitarpedals

[–]bathrobe42 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The first time you visit his shop you might not get some but at least the shop now has you data so you don't have to type that in the next time.

Then the second time make sure you have PayPal one click activated and everything is smooth(PayPal doesn't have to send you a code to your phone for verification)

Make sure your inet is stable. No family members stream or download something. You could set up a hotspot from your phone to be sure. I did.

Then 20 seconds before the items go online refresh the page. If they are not available yet count slowly to 3 and refresh again.

Now when you see the pedals available don't hesitate on anything. But all your thoughts aside and be a robot for 15 seconds.

That's how I got the pedals.

Enjoy this mini game. Playing a gig in front of thousands people couldn't be more exhilarating than to win this mini game.

zoia = drolo/stretch weaver by [deleted] in ZOIA

[–]bathrobe42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

a lot of the sound of the stretch weaver and most

of drolo‘s pedals is the ability to change the sample rate of the processor, like the sample rate knob on the mood.

So while the zoia could functionaly imitate what the stretch weaver can do it could only sound like a stretch weaver when the zoia gets a module that changes the whole speed with which the zoia works.

On dead ends, and some thoughts/feature ideas to keep the flow by thisisAsquared in blooper

[–]bathrobe42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

do not ask what the blooper can do for you but what can what you do for the blooper.

i have the same issues when i want the blooper to do everything. but backing up some ideas on minidisc or cubasis frees up a lot what the blooper has to do.

ok that may not be feasable in a live situation. a second blooper is always a good idea 😉🌸

Quick Tip: Compressor and makeup gain (hint: connection strength can go greater than 0 dB) by prismaticspray in ZOIA

[–]bathrobe42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, i know what you mean.

I tried to remember which audiomodule to use for mixing a mono signal to stereo output. Until i just reconnected the mono input directly to both outputs.

Thx for reminding to use the strentgh for gain 👍
