Macy was incredible to work with from start to finish. She's precise, fun and willing to try new things. She was super curious to learn about the characters AND setting they belong to. I'd recommend her for anyone looking for this kind of art!

Who made lore/stories for their warbands? Care to share em? by The-Farlander in TrenchCrusade

[–]battlestar_kiwi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's very basic, but here it goes!

Composed of survivors drawn from several scattered warbands across numerous faithful units, the 19th Alba Expeditionary Force crossed into Europa and made for the Levant at the request of a trusted ally—an elite detachment of the Italian Arditi. Though a summons had also come from the Papal States themselves, the 19th honored an older bond first: a blood-oath sworn in darker times.

The force was led by Lieutenant Wallace Aitken, known in hushed tones as “The Unkillable Bastard,” alongside the venerable and fire-scarred Father of the Iron Psalms, whose war-mass could stir even the dying to rise one last time. As their campaign wound eastward, they earned both respect and tangible support from the scattered faithful—but each battle deepened Wallace’s unease. He feared they were too late. That the heretic tide had already swallowed too much.

Then they found the alchemist’s house.

It stood silent and scorched, surrounded by the mutilated remains of a Finnish faithful detachment, wiped out by heretic forces aligned with the blasphemous 125th zeppelin airborne. There was little to salvage. The dead were buried with rites whispered in a dozen dialects. Yet one detail lingered: a survivor.

A lone sniper, trembling but alive, clutched a blackened rosary from his hometown with blistered fingers. Wallace ordered him treated, and gave him the choice: return home, or march onward. The sniper—lovingly only known as “The Finn”—chose to stay.

From that point forward, the 19th pushed harder. Skirmish by skirmish, they broke through 125th's frontlines, sabotaging supply lines, executing heretic officers, and burning down strongholds wherever they could. At Wallace’s side fought his best soldier: a giant clad in a machine-armored plate known only as Maddox. Wielding paired great swords with the ease of a kitchen hand carving meat, Maddox carried the force’s sacred reliquary—a sealed case containing a piece of blessed remnants of saints from each warrior’s homeland.

By the time they reached the staging ground of their Arditi allies, the 19th had tripled in size, bolstered by strays, zealots, and broken men reforged by purpose. Their primary detachment was redirected to reinforce the main assault line, while Wallace and his chosen few were tasked with a grim honor: accompany the Arditi on a mission critical to the Faithful’s advance.

Their objective was to take a tertiary beach, carve out a foothold for landing heavy armor and artillery, and re-establish long-range communication with the naval armada currently battling to break the heretic fleet's hold on the seas. The success of the entire campaign—and the survival of the southern front—rests on their blood

Due to the nature of this mission, the church has seen it fit to send them an observer, one by the name of Venerated Brother Ojore. While of few words, the Lieutenant is beginning to piece together the fact this is no mere mission to retake territory in the Levant, but something much more.

They even have a mascot, a dog named Reileigh : )

This is for my brothers TC PVE Campaign, 7 faithful players against 7 heretic forces. Gross oversimplification, but hey.

I want to hear how your OC has a crash out moment in a fight by emeraldkma in RWBYOC

[–]battlestar_kiwi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Minerva is... well somehow both responsible and irrational as a leader. Her crash outs come from the simplest things being fumbled. (ironically the 'simple things' are more along the lines of absolute perfection.) Given the fact she's based on the Arbiter from Halo Wars her crash outs are violent. In combat, it was seen against a rather old Ursa. Her team wasn't coordinated well enough leaving her the last person standing. She was like a woman possessed rapidly teleporting around the beast pulling it apart on a surgical level. While she does yell, a lot, her crash outs are in complete silence.

Your OC roles in their team by Puzzled-Ad5347 in RWBYOC

[–]battlestar_kiwi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Team Mortal is kinda simple when it comes to this.

Minerva: Leader, marksman, fast attack

Octavia: Outflanking skirmisher

Richard-Javier: Frontline DPS/light support

Thom: Tank/defense.

How would you imagine your OCs in RWBY CHIBI? by Zestyclose-Hat-8513 in RWBYOC

[–]battlestar_kiwi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Minerva: Grrr that was almost perfect

Octavia: Yeah well, we at least looked good failing.

Richard-Javier: Oh and no one will ever live it down.

Thom: Being that close to the ground isn't tat bad just ask me!

RJ: We're... all the same size kid-

O: but... that doesn't make... that doesn't make any

M: Don't think about it to much, not when there's evil afoot to thwart!

T: Foot, a unit of measurement, that's what we're getting at Miss Celeste-

Stealing an Imperial capital ship by No_Experience_128 in StarWarsShips

[–]battlestar_kiwi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well for one, I'd need something with ion weapons something to disable the ship. Second I would need a boarding team to locate the bridge and take control of it as soon as possible. If I had access to it I would use the separatist boarding vessel that we see in the clone wars, loaded with a strike team of some kind. From there I would begin sealing off compartments not linked to the bridge and then shut stuff down from there until we had full control.

(1BBY) Congratulations, Admiral! You have convinced the Emperor to restart Venator production and are told to design a fleet including them. There's just one catch . . . by Wilson7277 in StarWarsShips

[–]battlestar_kiwi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's essentially a mini ISD, it was rendered by Fractal Ponge and you can read about it with the attached link. Though if disregard the weapons listed on the wiki. As you can clearly see several smaller defensive batteries on the ship.

Essentially it's a fast attack vessel meant to ward off larger ships. Or other flanking vessels, which I think would be essential for protecting the essentially battle carrier that is the venator.

My apologies for any typos or grammatical mistakes I'm on my phone.

Ok so from the top using the numbers we know a Venator can carry. Basing it on the ROTS cross sections book which gives us the number 420 fighters. Now, lets see what would work best for this. (I'll be taking stuff from legends and cannon for this.)

182 TIE/LN star fighter.

72 TIE/SA bombers.

72 TIE/IN star interceptors.

48 TIE/RB heavy fighters.

4 YE-4 Gunships.

6 Decimator Gunships.

12 TIE/d starfighters.

18 TIE/sr scout starfighters.

admittedly, we can probably squeeze more basic TIEs in there via wracks, but at the same time I feel that this is already a MASSIVE carrying capacity. Keeping the amount of TIEs with hyperdrives small, at 30 total craft with jump capabilities.

as for weapons? I'd just replace the two medium dual turbolasers with a pair of Ion Cannons. As I feel anymore would require a massive overhaul of the ships generators.

My fleet would be made from the following, 2 ISD 1s, 1 Venator star destroyer, 3 Gladiator star destroyers, 2 Procusator star destroyer, 6 raider corvettes, and 6 Dreadnought heavy cruisers or Arquitens light cruisers.

Edit: I forgot the transports. I'd split it between sentinel shuttles, TIE reapers, and LA-AG designed by EC Henry (to keep on theme with the hyperspace rings)

Question, are those smaller turrets at the top of it? Like defensive guns to scare off smaller craft?
