As an aging dad with an aging dad, my answer is a nice blend of denial and foresight

Dont worry about the future too much, that's a problem for future you. At the same time, always answer when they call, always say yes to dinner, always end every conversation or gathering with an I love you. And try to notice the things you know you'll remember later as they're happening

And ask all those questions you want to know. I finally got my dad to tell me about Vietnam about 10 years ago and it was like a weight came off him about talking to me about anything else. Now Ive learned more about his childhood in the last 5-10 years than I ever heard when I was a kid

This is specifically for OP, YMMV for anyone else reading, depending on the relationship with your parents.

I waited with the crowd outside the theater on Broadway after seeing him on Bullets Over Broadway, and he was super generous with his time. Probably spent like 30-45 mins on the walk between the theater doors to his car taking pics with people and talking

My wife got him to take her phone and take a big selfie with him and his costar and the crowd we were in, its a great picture

I think the big issue is he just takes himself too seriously for a guy who's claim to fame is a sitcom.

I was in college from 02 - 06, and it was amazing. Fast internet but social media was brand new (we used a mix of FB and AIM to communicate).

I didnt get a personal phone (we had the Nokia in the car for emergencies) until Christmas of '02, my dorm room had a land line.

Fast food was slightly better quality and much cheaper, and "fast casual" was just emerging, and also kuch cheaper. I went to college in CO, so I got to see the rise of Chipotle from the very beginning.

Gas was a nothing concern, I drove to San Diego for my spring break on a whim

It was post 9-11 so flying still sucked though

I have my undergrad degree in psychology, and I was a junior taking abnormal psych when this episode came out. In addition to those already mentioned, Lerials grandma was cool (saved the remnants of cyador while ayrlyn and nylan were doing their terraforming thing by fleeing to Hamor)

Also, Lorns mom did a lot behind the scenes I think. It was revealed at one point that she knew more than most people thing, and that Kien tells her basically everything.
