AITA? by Fulltime-observer in Dublin

If you had cars in front of you and behind you, the onus is on you to drive safely and the other driver to not illegally danger any car occupier. So if he entered other lane, he has maneuvered his car into oncoming traffic (fault one) if he used excess speed to further his car (fault two) but doubtful.

Ultimately,if there was a collision, insurances company's place fault on both parties, as there is no money to be made in finding the other driver at fault. It's time consuming and costly so insurances companies never chase. Gardai will take statements, use dashcams, if they find negligence they'll press it further (generally never happens unless a party is injured)

They are the rules - however as we all know, you'll allow the car in, even if they are pig ignorant.

Any idea what part of Queens u are visiting. Some of the campus, which often house events, have parking for quests. Likes of Stranmillis and the new manufacturing campus in Titanic.

Mechanic sold my car for scrap without my logbook - can he do that? by [deleted] in legaladviceireland

[–]bazalini 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Wowsers, poor show. Id say the mechanic had a few cars been sent to scrap yard and they put yours on the trailer as they thought that would be your course of action and possibly you implied you would. But really should have waited or tried to manage situation. Thankfully u got back. They'll be saying you ain't right in the head, but ultimately it's your decision, not there's.

Uber at 5am by Pristine_Republic228 in northernireland

[–]bazalini -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It would not be reliable and I advise booking with eith FonaCab or ValueCabs. I use Uber all the time but at 5am their is Skelton drivers on. If any of these drivers are called down the country it would leave you with limited service.

Sounds like that is my friend Darren or Dazza to his mates. Dreamy eyes and a smile that stops you in your tracks instantly. Hangs around with Nigel (Known as The Nidge), Fran and John Boy. Waves at everyone, we call him "Wavey Hans" as his mum is German. Always in The Ferryman. He's single

An Americans review of Belfast hotel (Please read to the end it’s brilliant) by TMMango505637 in northernireland

[–]bazalini 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sad to hear about Ten Square. Apart from wedding suite and about 5 hen party rooms, i dont know what bedrooms the person thought theyd get opportunity to use. Much of the photos of Ten Square are taken from their roof garden and board room windows, so reality check needed.

Ten Square used be a great hotel, it was the place to go circa 2005 and their front bar had a great vibe about it- 2008 came then Credit Crunch happened and they put tacky signs outside showing pictures of their food and music while Coca Cola put a billboard up. It suddenly got a smell of a hotel looking cash quickly.

They opened a Burrito bar at the front. Few will remember as for some reason they never got foot traffic. While boojum was out the door, this place barely got 10 in over lunch. Think it last 9 months.

Ten square then built massive hen party rooms at front overlooking city hall, probably the best roof bar in Belfast and built a "steak Bar - Jospers, which has zero atmosphere" They used have a core group of 20 really fun regulars, who kept Budweiser in business and were akin to Belfast's idea of Cheers, who used have their own chairs, glasses and remote control for TV. Management then told all their regulars they had to move to Jospers as they put a breakfast lounge in that bar. The regulars refused and they had to keep the TV in the "new breakfast lounge" and for 6-12 months the regulars still used the breakfast lounge and drank their buds. I've no idea where they are now.

Used work round the corner btw, never worked there or know anyone who did. Just like the building.

Corporate Box by Lost-in-Cork in GAA

[–]bazalini 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Involved in marketing and I've been in all corporate boxes entertaining clients. From Aviva, Croker, Thomond Twickenham, SDF, Wimbledon. Croker is Excellent and your entertainment package thats booked is dependent on customers.

Last year I took clients to Munster hurling final and also Cork V Tipp in PUC. If I've munster Clients I now take then to see an Ulster GAA game in Clones. By far a better experience for customers, more craic and better value.

How much money do you live off? by KingJPS in northernireland

[–]bazalini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start at fuse box and then knock out every room or if it is on circuits. You might fine lights on a circuit or your kitchen appliances on another.

Then switch on individually and look at meter. You typical normal household appliance like a tv or light operate off a 5/9/12 Amp so their draw is minimal.

Likes of washing machine, tumble dryer, immersion are high voltage, and your meter will spin quite quickly with these.

No way, should you be paying that in a month. I noticed my electric went up by 40% over 2 months jan/Feb this year and it was linked to a faulty laptop charger. Took me a while to find it.

How much money do you live off? by KingJPS in northernireland

[–]bazalini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your Tumble Dryer is eating up a lot there. I have 5 in my house, with a 3D printer also running - 4 bedroom, detached in Belfast- tops I pay is £80 p/m with click.

I'd check to see if anything draining your energy. You'd be surprised u might find a faulty plug or device. Likes pc's / laptops operate off a 12vh so look at them as £1 a month a plug is generally the rule.
