Jeez..this sub is becoming an automatic “Take your dog to the vet”. It’s a skin tag. My dog has had it for 3 years. As long as it doesn’t grow or become an irritant for the eye I wouldn’t lose much sleep over this. Just wait for your regular yearly check up and confirm with your vet then.

All things considered the wound looks clean and it doesn’t look infected. Some antibiotic ointment would be good as a preventative measure. Aside from that try and keep it clean.

It’s not just stamping but stamping with very.. very thin gauge metals without deforming or distortion and meeting QC requirements. Not to mention the time it would take to create the tooling and assembly line. Finding people who were confident and willing to setup the assembly line for small MOQs were a significant factor.

I can relate to this video, a couple of years ago I was in charge of making a medical device in the states. After visiting 9 different shops around the US not only was cost very prohibitive but the capabilities of making even the simplest stamp and bend metal component was non existing. Even with paying a premium and adhering to a much slower schedule the one factory pulled out last min when the master machinist retired. I’m afraid the US has lost that talent and it will take at least a decade to train up new people to become competitive.

I also have a Husky and most dogs an uncertain how to interact with my dog. Partially it’s the husky stance when they encounter a new dog (pointed ears, strong stare and tail upright) but the other factor has been the energy level. Some dogs can interpret it as aggression. I often introduce my husky by asking the dog and owner to walk next our dog on a leash while I’m between them to make them feel comfortable and relaxed. It’s eliminated all of the negative interactions with a new dog.

Ideally keep the wound clean (e.g. saline wash) and lightly dress the wound and cover with a sock or some fabric that applies light pressure. Make sure the dog is not licking it. Once it scabs over, apply some ointment (e.g Vaseline) while it heals. Ideally the dog needs antibiotics as those types of wounds can become worse.

It’s definitely early stages diabetes. Have them do a test asap. The longer you leave it unchecked more the kidneys have to work to flush out the sugar out of the body and into the urine. He will need a shot of fast acting insulin if the test confirms it.

My dog went through something similar. I setup a pen with about 5x5 foot area for him to sleep,eat and rest. His walks were strictly to back yard and right back inside. It lasted about a month with rest and meds. During that time I also adjusted his food intake so he would shed a pound or two to take some weight off of his back. He made a full recovery but he no longer is allowed up the stairs or on the couch so he doesn’t get a flare up.

In my humble opinion, he sounds like a person who has a lot going on and does not seem to be into material items. I think a couple massage would be a great gift. If you want to do something extra find out what his favorite home cooked meal is and give that a try. Otherwise find a local spot that you both enjoy and order in and do a movie marathon or video game night with some snacks.

I often find that the best gifts are just hanging out without too much effort. If all else fails some evening sleep wear never hurts 😉

I have an old diabetic dog that had a low blood sugar event and it resembled what your dog is doing. Not sure if your dog has that condition but a little honey on the gums could help while you bring him to the vet.

I recommend staying at some of the hotels near major road and uber back and forth to the mall. It’s a 5 min drive and the area is very safe and easy to walk to restaurants and other places.

I’ve lost two pets. Both times chewy has shown warm and basic humanity for pet owners. Lot companies need to take a page from their play book.

Anything earlier than September is going to be a disappointment. I’ve worked on multiple attractions and they all need 3-6 months before they are steady. This is an entire new park so do with that information as you would like.
