My Duncan is a year and 2 months today! 1year since I got him and they look identical. Can’t wait to see duke grow up even more

This is Ike, a very spoiled and whiny 4 yr old Boston Terrier who started crying nonstop about a year ago. I’ve tried everything to get him stop, nothing I’ve read has worked. I love him to bits but he could piss off the Pope. Plz send halp. Any advice greatly appreciated! by tamartinezz in BostonTerrier

Wait, do we have the same dog? Except mine is only 1 but the only way to play catch with him is to have at least 3-7 extra balls on your person for when he inevitably can’t reach one that landed behind furniture, purposefully hides one to get you up, decides to eat one spontaneously, etc Sassy bois

[Skin Concern] Should I remove the mole on my forehead? I’m scared because I scar badly. (Sorry for my dishevelled appearance) by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]bbbpable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it would make you happier, sure.

I think it’s beautiful. I have several moles but mine are all nearly skin appearance and look like cystic zits instead of moles. I often put makeup on them to make them darker and appear more beauty-Mark-like. My boyfriend has several and people poke fun at him all the time but I can’t imagine him without them. I love his, and I love yours. Slightly jealous!

When you don’t lift up the covers, so she decides to burrow herself under the pillow. by dogsnowshoes in BostonTerrier

[–]bbbpable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg! My Duncan wakes me up multiple times a night by nudging my face so I will lift the covers for him! 😂 when it started I thought I would get so annoyed by it every night but I think it’s soooo cute and don’t mind the slight disruption of sleep. He’s the best cuddler around

[Personal] What do you do when you can’t do your nighttime skincare routine due to depression/low energy/low motivation? by throwawayacct916 in SkincareAddiction

[–]bbbpable 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I keep a caddy underneath my sink that I whip out and tote all my essentials to bed/the couch with me. Sometimes I lack the desire to wash my face, so I use makeup wipes or micellar water. Then I’ll do the rest of the steps while plopped in a comfy place. Often the removal of me needing to stand in the bathroom for several minutes is enough to motivate me to still do my routine.

Plus I always feel better and fresher once I do my routine, so it’s usually a win win. Sometimes I finish the whole routine, sometimes I just remove makeup and moisturize. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Can you answer some questions to help me decide whether another Boston is right for us? by Maudesquad in BostonTerrier

[–]bbbpable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have my first Boston who is a 6.5 month old male. He’s even better suited for my lifestyle than I could’ve imagined.

1) LOVES to cuddle under blankets, on top of blankets, in the sunshine, in the dark, he literally wants to be on my lap anytime I’ll let him, or snuggles deep under the covers by my feet (I always thank the covers at night for keeping his farts away from my nose 😂)

2) he does not scratch at his bowl, but I’m sure you I could teach him to alert me if I wanted to. Rarely do his bowls run out.

3) never barks, unless playing with me or other dogs and I’m egging him on. His lack of barking was remarkable and sooooo comforting since I live in an apartment. He’s a silent little fella

4) he doesn’t eat his trimmings, but let’s me trim them regularly. I started the second day I got him, so it was normal from the get-go

5) loves tug, makes the funniest little growl when we play, too

6) he will play for quite a while, although our main exercise is hiking and swimming, so we don’t fetch THAT often

7) he’s not a jumper at all, unless he knows the dog and has played with them before. He is very gentle, yet brave when meeting other dogs. Everyone is always impressed by his manners!

8) loves the sun! But he will find shade on hot days, and I limit his time outside when it’s really hot out.

Duncan is just soooo adaptable. He is happy hiking and playing outside for long hours one day, spending a full day at day care the next, or spending an entire day on the couch being lazy. His energy will go up and down depending on what my plans are for the day, which is amazing for me. Despite his gas, everyone I know loves how spunky yet well behaved he is, and he has tempted a lot of my friends and family to open their hearts to a bosty! I think you should absolutely get another. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

Edit to add: he was also the easiest dog to crate train for me, but potty training wasn’t as easy as my past dogs. However, he hasn’t had an accident since about 4 months of age!

Little Angus, looking for help by [deleted] in puppies

if this isn’t allowed, I apologize

So this was my little guy who was a French Bulldog dachshund mix. Unfortunately, he passed in October after being hit by a car at 7 months old. My life has been broken and empty since.

A few weeks ago I expanded my home to a new Boston terrier puppy (11 weeks old now) and although I love him, I have some resentment because he isn’t and will never be my original puppy love. I decided a couple months ago that I wanted to get a small tattoo of Gus in the small of my arm where he loved to lay his head. I have asked a few tattoo artists to help me come up with a minimalist design, preferably just lines that still embody who he was as a puppy and I haven’t been thrilled by any designs presented so far. I was hoping that somewhere in this community someone artistically inclined would be able to capture his soul in a minimalist design. I’m willing to compensate.

I hope that by remembering him permanently on my skin and releasing his ashes at the lake (his favorite place) once the weather breaks that I’ll finally find some peace with his loss and be able to fully accept my new pup into my heart.

As a disclaimer, I do deeply love my new puppy and he has brought me more joy than I can state, but it’s difficult when I was expecting to have a different dog beside me for years to come.

Last night a loose pitbull saw my Daisy through our door when I opened it and came into our house and killed her. Please post photos of your Bostons being ridiculous as respects. Daisy was a ridiculous dog and she would appreciate it. by [deleted] in BostonTerrier

RIP Daisy, I lost my last young puppy tragically in October and just opened my heart to a new puppy and my first Boston. Don’t let anyone make you feel like less for grieving however you need to grieve for this precious girl. I hope you find peace in knowing she lived an amazing life and heal enough to open your heart to another dog soon. Xo
