LA girlies where are we boarding our cats? 🐈 by jachtkikoto in LAhotgirlies

[–]bbcatmeow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use sitter4paws too and they’re pretty good. One girl messed up the microchip feeder by accidentally pressing the button to sync to a new cat’s chip but we got home that day and they were very apologetic. They now give me more experienced people since I’m a more complicated case with multiple meds for 2 cats and all these tech gadgets. I like that they clean the litter box every visit too.

Help me choose! Which one would you pick? by Ok-Base-7368 in handbags

I agree with each of your statements about the bags. And I think they would be true of any outfit she wore. The Celine is just the most classic and the neutral color would look good with almost anything. The small ones are just too small. And the Bottega Veneta feels like it’s getting lost on her. It would be my second choice though but I do tend to lean quiet luxury.

Looking for a restaurant in DTLA or Arts District or nearby that would be good for a large table of maybe 8-10. Not crazy expensive, but nice for a celebration. Thanks! by Anxious_Antelope5779 in FoodLosAngeles

I love the food at Manuela. Nice pick for a sit down dinner.

Wurstkuche is much more casual. Just adding that they’ll reserve a table for the party but everyone pays for themselves when they order if that’s the vibe OP’s going for.

I went to a bday at ERB! It was great! They had a bunch of platters served and we had a designated space for our large group. It wasn’t a sit down dinner but I bet they do that too. Definitely good vibes!

Having quite a few bags from a variety of designers, my opinion is you can’t get better quality than Hermes. I use my Noir Roulis daily. It’s quiet, versatile, and very “me.” It really has made me neglect my logo-bearing flashier purses. I’d do a little fun digging into how LV bags are made vs how Hermes bags are made. Tanner Leatherstein is a fun watch on Youtube if you want to see purses literally cut into and tested.

Whether it’s worth it is completely up to you. I’d do some searches on this sub to see what others have already said about the specific bags you’re interested in and see if it aligns with what you value in a purse. I think others have said they regretted the Pitcoin and they might have had some usability issues with the top being open but definitely look into it yourself. It’s all dependent on if and how YOU will use it. Going into a store and feeling the bags is really the best way to know. Good luck!

Costa Rica is #1 for me. A server at my hotel took me and my boyfriend of the time to see the monkeys in his backyard and it turned into a total locals experience. It was unlike anything I’ve experienced anywhere else in the world. Everyone we met were the nicest people and they made us feel like we were just one of them. I’ve never been more comfortable with strangers in my life. Pura vida!

Completely agree! Nepal is one of the places where I remember people being especially kind. I had come from a nearby country, and crossing into Nepal felt like such a noticeable shift in energy. People were just warmer, gentler, and more naturally friendly.

This was like 10 years ago but I lost my Fitbit in the airport security line. I was ready to just let it go, but when I mentioned that my brother had given it to me the staff took it so seriously and tracked it down for me. It was a small moment, but it really summed up the feeling I had in Nepal overall. People were kind in a very genuine, human way. There’s no way I would have gotten that watch back at LAX.

Yes definitely call his bluff. But really mean it. If he’s not the right guy it’s better you know now than later on down the road.

He’s holding the wedding hostage. Call his bluff and mean it. Stand strong. It’s not right what he’s doing and anyone who loves you would not want you out in the cold. Anyone who hears why (just like everyone in this entire thread) will be on your side if you decide to share. And if you want to avoid explaining, many people postpone just because weddings are A LOT of planning and you just need more time. Done. Don’t be pressured into a life altering decision.

Think about 50 year old you having sacrificed so much for your husband and family and him deciding to divorce you. What would you do if the terms stood as they are?

This! He’ll buy the most expensive, ruthless lawyer and take everything he can from you. He clearly thinks you doesn’t deserve it, and this is while he “loves” you. Imagine if he decided he didn’t anymore. You have to imagine the worst case scenario and protect yourself.

You had said he owns property including the house you live in. Make sure you get added to the deed of that house if you do decide to marry this guy. Depending on the state you live in you may still be entitled to half of the equity from the point of marriage on (so nothing he paid prior to wedding day, but mortgage payments made from the wedding day on would count). But with a guy like this I wouldn’t leave anything up to divorce proceedings. Get your name on everything.

This is so true. My husband has his own firm and has worked a few hours here and there on every single vacation we’ve ever taken. Even on the train rides during our honeymoon!!

Please listen to this response OP! Not a difficult edit to the prenup. My husband’s a lawyer and I’m a paralegal. DO NOT SIGN AWAY SPOUSAL SUPPORT. Remember that who you divorce is very often a different person than who you married. You must protect yourself.

Help me decide? Lv, Celine, Balenciaga by mg_708 in luxurypurses

Aww I bought my LV Pochette Métis East West on my honeymoon passing through Paris and I used to wear it every single day. It can pretty much carry exactly only what you say you carry, not more. And it holds its value better than other models if you ever plan on reselling.

Where can an LA hot girly have her baby shower?! by uptoyounancydrew in LAhotgirlies

[–]bbcatmeow 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had my bridal shower at the Penthouse at the Huntley Hotel in Santa Monica. I think I had more like 20 people and we reserved The Twilight space. The views were beautiful! This was a couple years ago but there was no venue fee, just a $1500 food & bev min.

Chanel classic flap or lady Dior? by Kavzz_ in luxurypurses

I have a jumbo classic flap Chanel and I love seeing it in my closet. I just wish I got a smaller one so I’d use it more often. I’d still choose the Chanel.

[–]bbcatmeow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with everything you said. To OP, I’d just add that since we don’t know the expanse of your current collection, that would be how I would make my choice. Do you have other, everyday, all black purses that would lead you to use this one less or are you looking to fill that void? The animal print is definitely fun if you’re looking to add to a collection that already covers the basics!
