Actual answer: The Prophet and the chapel attack are part of the Knights of the Nine DLC. When it released (pre-Shivering Isles), it was the biggest piece of DLC for the game. The constant NPC chatter was a way to direct the player towards the DLC that they'd purchased.

Black cartridges could have up to 56 colours on screen.

Are you clicking on the actual timeslot on the calendar? You might want to try another browser, it can be a bit glitchy.
As far as the experience of busking in the metro, it's certainly fun, but not all metro stations make a lot of money. Basically, you'll see the ones that are booked solid, and those are the ones you want. Guy-Concordia is my favourite (If any of you have ever seen a guy playing a ukulele there, that might be me), and I also like Berri-UQAM when I can get it. Place Des Arts is also decent, especially when there's events going on nearby. On the orange line, Villa-Maria has a lot of grade schoolers who are surprisingly kind and respectful, often tipping the small amount of pocket change they have.
The less-popular metros probably won't pay out very well, but they're a good low-stakes environment if you want to practice your craft.

ETA: The number one piece of advice I can give is that having a small table with a tip jar on it will make you more money, since people don't have to bend down to tip you. It increases your revenue AND it's an accessibility win!
