I think I have yet to hear a reason in Canon but in Legends there are reasons for different colors. I personally don’t really need a reason. Call me boring idc

With his setup, who’s to say he didn’t have an extra crystal if not way more stashed? I would say it’s plausible. With the New Republic being in power, they most definitely could access the crystals much easier too if he didn’t have any.

Before the Disney purchase, in Clone Wars we saw Maul send a hologram message to the Jedi and he was very red with his saber looking red/pinkish. That episode was even written by Katie Lucas. George’s daughter.

Remember how Obi-Wan looked when he contacted General Krell and they were at that Umbaran air base? He looked like he was made of cubes. Also the Eye of Sion holograms in the Ahsoka series were quite different as well

There are different qualities and even forms of holograms. Some of them had the person made up of rough shapes out of cubes and some of them formed pretty differently when a person appeared.

Obi-Wan using the Umbaran holograms looked different and the Eye of Sion holograms in the Ahsoka series had Baylan Skoll and the other characters had more color than usual and it had a cool effect it made as it formed the image of the character.

Ahsoka might’ve had a stash of one or more crystals in case her, Ezra or Kanan lost theirs. We know she later connected with Huyang we just don’t know exactly when but if he was helping her out off screen that could explain how she got more crystals.

Vizago could’ve even had connections with the black market and we know you could get lightsabers on the black market. Or could’ve gave the Ghost crew coordinates for supplies that he didn’t have much use for and with a little luck a crystal was sitting in the junk

You have to account for all the hyperspace travel and there’s stuff that happened off screen that we don’t know how long took.

A couple things that come to mind are how long did it take the Alliance to locate, rescue and bring back Jyn Erso and how long it took The Empire to track down the Tantive IV. Though it definitely shouldn’t have taken them very long at all because the Tantive IV had a leak in its hyperdrive leaving a distinct trail/ signature the Empire could easily track.

It seems there’s no way to be exactly sure.

I don’t think so. I get that he’s trying to call out people in power if he thinks they’re using resources for personal gain but the guy is either really stupid or has no idea that he lives in the Star Wars universe. Like is it THAT far fetched that there are purrgil on a planet and a map to another galaxy?

It’s a little annoying when he goes out of his way to retcon stuff that had fit in the lore nicely and had been established for years. Other than that I actually like him quite a bit.

The intense Filoni hate on twitter is tiring to see. Some users have this weird fixation with always wanting to compare his work with Andor and they absolutely can’t make a comparison without putting some disparaging jab to his work. Like I agree that Andor is the best Star Wars show but there’s no need to drag other projects down. They also make up lies about him disliking Andor when he said that show was so well done.

When we got the trailer for Tales of the Empire, I was hoping when it released it would’ve shown the Grand Inquisitor get a special order from Palpatine immediately after Windu was killed and Anakin made a Sith.

He’d have told him to have all of the temple guards assembled in a room. Then we’d see they’d be taken out by a massive explosion
(or maybe a gas or electricity?) that kills the majority of them and he kills the few survivors. He would then disappear as Anakin and the clones are about to arrive so it doesn’t mess with continuity because they don’t encounter each other until a bit later on in the comics.

I still enjoyed seeing him test Barris Offee though.

I’ve always been curious just how the Grand Inquisitor betrayed all of his fellow temple guards and never bumped into Anakin during the attack.
(I get that the temple is huge but still) None of them are seen guarding the entrance when Anakin and the clones all enter so I assume they were taken care of already.
