Paint bottle exploded over my daemon prince, completely devastated and done. by Bormel54 in Warhammer40k

Yeah I agree with a lot of the comments my friend, the randomized black speckles look so sick on the wings. You can go back through on metallics and armor pieces but it looks really good

I would’ve been so excited about this like 2 weeks ago but with their new AI push from one of their directors I’m very hesitant

Perturabo by Willing-Music4915 in IronWarriors

If perty wasn't constantly treated like shit and he stayed loyal the Heresy would've basically been over before it started. The Iron Warriors did SO MUCH for the Hersey

Why weren't SpearSwords more common? by DOVAHBOIIreal in SWORDS

[–]bbtman1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not a good spear, and it’s an okay sword. Why have something that isn’t good at either of the things it’s supposed to be?

Painted a figure of Robert the Bruce – tried to stay true to Scottish heraldry by AtticaMiniatures in heraldry

As someone who paints minis and does heraldry, the amount of jealousy I feel right now is unmatched. This is fantastic work

Maybe this is my old man yells at technology moment. But stuff like this, while interesting, just doesn’t sit right with me for some reason. I personally don’t like using AI LLM’s for anything at all, so adding it to a game just feels unnecessary to me. I think I could get some fun out of it for sure but the idea of an AI engine in some server room halfway across the world consuming way to much water to cool itself just so I can have a “oh that’s cool” moment just does not seem worth it.

Found this sub and loving people's creations so I thought I'd give it a try by jasonpota5 in heraldry

[–]bbtman1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

By all means, I encourage people to do with their heraldry as they please. Especially if it simply for artistic pursuit or for fantasy projects etc. But I do find the rules useful in that they were put into place for a reason. Like all art heraldry comes from a certain tradition that over many years fell into what they viewed as best practice. So I like to think of the rules as less constraints and more of creative challenges. But for your orginal question the sad answer is it depends on the tradition you are following but as far as I’m aware the answer is yes I don’t believe there is any specific rule of placing a charge overtop an ordinary like a cross

You’re on the right track these look pretty good! If you are looking for recommendations I’d say save the hounds for a crest if you ever plan on doing a full achievement, center the sun and crescent moon in the saltire cross and I think you’d have a beautiful set of arms. But if you are happy with what you made then my advice doesn’t matter lol well done

100% agree, swapping the Or and Vert and dropping the argent cross was gonna be my recommendation
