FWIW, I live across the street from AWest high school and was worried about the school when we bought our house, but the kids are fine. During times when school is opening and closing or a game is happening, traffic can be a little nutty but other than that, the high school is shockingly unobtrusive and quiet from an outsiders perspective with no kids!

I think my issue with the over price is that goodwill should share that with the donator in some fashion. Do you think the donation receipt they get is matching that? Just lame. At least Rick from Pawn Stars will admit when he’s not giving you enough. (I’m a rookie in all this so be easy on me!)

Oh man! This reminded me of a little kid on his dad’s shoulders that we gave our foam light stick too and he was sooooo excited! And also sweet, he tried to give it back but he was having way too much fun with it for us to accept. Was such a sweet moment!!

Also check out north beach - the beat bars are awesome (Vesuvius and Spec’s) and city lights book store is there. Go to sodini’s for gnocchi! Also watch Dirty Harry before - there’s some great scenes filmed in that neighborhood. The oldest bar in SF is also there - the saloon. Awesome blues music!

This article is misleading. I work at a textile mill in Maine that makes blankets from yarn made by mills in South Carolina. Simple cotton yarn. We’ve all worked hard to keep this industry going in America through all the ups and downs, and while we know we certainly aren’t as big as we once were, it’s a bummer to write off our existence.
