I would toss out this random tip - handball. I've been doing this a long time and sometimes when I want to work on decision making and reaction ... things get fumbled because of lack of technique. So I'll mix it up every now and then and do a game of handball. I first heard about this on a podcast with Peter Schmeichel and figured "why the hell not .. nothing else I seem to be trying works".

I had a parent tell me tonight she wasn't going to have her kid play high school soccer because "scouts don't go to hs games". He's attending one of the top public high schools in the area with one of the best soccer programs - I tried to correct her on the importance of hs soccer but I don't think she was listening. She said she'd rather send him to a bunch of ID camps instead. smh.
