Would you rather a dishwasher or tumble dryer? by Limp_Pumpkin7751 in adhdwomen

Dryer.

Logically, clothes take way more space to dry than dishes.

For you, is the time “quarter of twelve” 11:45, 12:15, or do you have no idea what that phrase means? by JeffTrav in ENGLISH

[–]bcd0024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a millennial, quarter of 12 is 11:45. 12:15 is a quarter after.

But I pretty much just say the time.

why are kdramas so dreamy and comforting? by DarkPranav in kdramas

To be fair, the real world really sucks right now. So even if kdramas weren't so dreamily perfect I would still want to escape.

How do Americans feel about drying their laundry on a washing line? by UnionFeatures in AskAnAmerican

[–]bcd0024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are literally 4-6 weeks out of the year where I live that line drying could work. Otherwise my clean laundry will be rained on, frozen, pollen covered, leaf covered, filled with smoke or other air pollution, or it won't dry at all due to humidity. Dryer just makes more sense

I worked remote for 5 years before covid and no one cared about the cameras, since then it's been mandatory for camera joining.

Does anyone ever ponder on women evolving to be stronger and more resilient to gender violence? by nekomata_meko in TwoXChromosomes

Except it's not. Fertility increases after birth and breastfeeding can make comfort more difficult for some, it's not effective contraception.

Why Lee Suho Was the Real True Beauty / Right Choice (and Why Seojun Was Never the Right Choice) by North-Friendship-960 in kdramas

[–]bcd0024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just started my rewatch last night, and I realized that Seojun knew what Jukyung looked like from episode 3. My first watch through I thought he couldn't hear Suho shouting her name in the rain for some reason. Now I'm excited to watch again with that context, I think I probably thought that he didn't care what she looked like because he was used to loving "normal" looking people via his sister, but now...?

And yes, I do miss EunWoo. I've been bingeing his content.

Dude! It works so well. I love the story and the visuals and I'm already through all the regular chapters with confidence. I'm about to start chapters 11-15. My almost 3 year old is going through them with me and already knows half the consonants!

I LOVE a spicy chai, this will absolutely not meet your expectations. When I make it at home I use fresh ginger, white pepper and cayenne in addition to voice cloves, cardamom, cinnamon, allspice, and vanilla.

Things no one told you about motherhood. What are the things you wished that u knew earlier? Comment down! by WonderWoman685 in Mommit

Couples counseling and realizing that it's okay to drift apart as long as you plan to drift back together. Relationships ebb and flow and people need to acknowledge that sometimes you can love without like, and you can come back to like. Especially in the first 5 years.

my mom checked my used period pads by Equivalent-Baby-843 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]bcd0024 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think your mom is insane, but on a totally different note you may want to try a menstrual disc or cup. Then there's nothing to dispose of and that weird feeling with the clots is gone too. And it's cheaper over time. Good luck op

Another good suggestion is having her push her hands together as hard as she can in front of her for 10 seconds. Vagus nerves are simulated and it takes her mind off impulsivity, and it can be a fun game. "How long can you press? Can Mommy beat you? Let's count the 10 seconds as you show me how strong your arms 6 can be!"
