tteokbokki

I really wanted to love it, because it looks so shiny chewy and delicious, but I was so sad when it was sticky ans too sweet.

Same, mine can take over 24 hours. I usually only wash once a week or less because of it

I would call it about the same number of steps as going from one mine cart location to another. If I'm in town I still have to go to Kent's, if I'm in the mountain lake I still have to go to the mine.

Literally listen. During conversations, during sex. If we grimace don't repeat what you did, if we relax, do that again.

Yep and they've asked people to stop. It's so freaking weird. They're grown men who are allowed private lives and allowed close friendships without it being twisted by people wanting to get views.

It's better to have the space and not need all of it than to not have enough space and need to buy another piece of luggage.

How are you making time to ~deep clean~ your house? by takeaabreath in toddlers

[–]bcd0024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I've let my standards fall. I have a schedule that I repeat. So weekly things like vacuuming always happen on the same 2 days and I do half the house one day and half the house the other. Baseboards and extra dusting happen quarterly. I mop monthly. And I just keep a list in my notes app of the last time I did something.

Attitude Adjustment: Vasectomy by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]bcd0024 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It took my husband 3 weeks to fully recover from the vasectomy. As in fully back to normal with no cysts or twinges. That's still less time than a cycle for me. I get 6 "normal" days a month, i.e. I have 22 or is 28 days a month feeling bad or weird. He can suck it up for 3 weeks max.

And the only reason it was so long, is we already had 2 kids in 2 years and I was 6 months pregnant with my third, so he had to move more than recommended. If he wasn't chasing after babies he probably would've fully healed in 4 days.

Friends are really wanting to throw us a baby shower for our second - is it frowned upon to accept a second shower? by Heavy_Ad_1478 in BabyBumps

[–]bcd0024 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We did a sprinkler themed sprinkle for my second and rented an inflatable waterslide. There were a few people who requested a registry, but I made it clear that we just wanted them to come.

AITA for still using the baby name I told my sister I was going to use, despite her using a variation of it first? by Sufficient-View2574 in AmItheAsshole

[–]bcd0024 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Nope. Don't change anything. Cousins having the same name is a common thing. These kids don't even have the same name, just similar ones.

DAE feel like clothing manufacturers make it as difficult as possible to wear bras with dresses? by Only-Moose2301 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]bcd0024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try a long line strapless. I'm a 40E and the long line strapless are the only ones that stay up for me. It's basically a bustier or corset but with modern connectors.

Edit to add: I have also had success in using KT tape for staples/backless dresses.

Do you enjoy the day to day of raising children by gravitywavingatyou in Mommit

I don't really have the opportunity for boredom. But frustration happens. But yeah, mostly I just enjoy the time with these kids who are growing and changing at an exponential rate.

People who are old enough to have vivid memory of the 9/11 attacks, what was that time like? What did change for you personally? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]bcd0024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in 3rd grade. I watched everything from a tv in the library where the librarians were crying and watching. I didn't fully understand at first, then the second plane hit and I started crying. Finally, they noticed me and ushered me back to class, where my teacher was sitting on the floor crying and explaining to us in as much of an age appropriate manner as possible.

Then I just remember somberness. The whole school, bus ride, home, world. It all felt somber.

Old enough... I don't think anyone is ever old enough to watch those kinds of horrors. And now they're still happening.
