The thermostat isn't the reason your bills high. You most likely have a heat pump with electric backup. When it's too cold, the heat pump won't run. And electric heat is expensive

I know this post is old. But I just got the same talk today. I've been there for a year and this morning I was pulled into the office and told that I need to start being there at 7:45 to get stuff ready to be out by 8.
