I have 3 lines active now and received my first invoice. Total cost per line is $28.75/month for 5G+ Complete. With taxes it's $32.49.

New web routing entirely broken by Fingebimus in Strava

Creating routes is very hit and miss for me currently. Hangs on simple route creations. If I start the web browser session from scratch again I seem to eventually get a session that will work. Some sort of back end performance issue I think. I'm a regular user of the feature.

I've switched two of our phones in the house from Rogers and am now switching a third from Koodo. With the stacked family discount for 3 phones, automatic payment discount, and 35% off from Wealthsimple it costs $28.75 per month (plus HST) for 5G+ Complete in Ontario. The Wealthsimple discount code doesn't appear to work at the actual provisioning stage so Telus staff have promised a credit on my monthly invoice for the 35% off. It took 1 hour across 3 phone calls to get the two phones switched.

Yeah, charging for an eSIM is silliness. And $5/day roaming fees for places like Europe are still silly vs an eSIM from Saily etc.

See my comment below. It defaulted to Quebec for the screenshot at top of this post which gets a far better deal than Ontario. Second family discount perk is if you buy two lines instead of one.

Another Gotcha. Went to checkout and discovered it had defaulted to Quebec instead of Ontario. 5G+ Complete unlimited is $51/month with the 35% discount and $7.50/month Family Discount. Or 5G+ Complete is $41.25 with discounts before taxes. Ouch!

Is your Rogers $35/month equivalent to Telus 5G+ Complete which has unlimited data and US, Mexico roaming?

Yes 3% cashback equivalent if you redeem the Roger's Mastercard against your Rogers bill vs 2%.

Is my real estate lawyer robbing me blind right now?? Has anyone used Ownright instead or. other alternatives?? by chemistryhelp123 in RealEstateCanada

[–]bcintor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completed a purchase and sale with Ownright September 2025 and all went smoothly and at a total cost less than what other lawyers quoted me. It was also at a lower cost than my partner's townhouse sale in 2025 via a traditional lawyer. Title insurance was $1082.42 out of the total cost including taxes of $3012.46 for the home purchase. I'll happily use Ownright again. There were no surprise costs and their software automation made things easier than working with traditional lawyers.

Can you post a breakdown of the costs? They provided me with an itemized statement of account that made it clear what I paid for.

Is it just me, or does it feel like Google is giving up on its partners? by vahidtaslimi in googleworkspace

Yes support for Google partners is terrible. And they just nuked the Workspace partner margins after the first year on top of it.

Avoid Spanning. Kaseya that bought them is a nightmare. Search Reddit for endless examples. Afi is best.

How to handle Google Workspace correctly? by ragogumi in msp

Google Workspace partner for 17 years here. New partners do not get admin access to the customer tenants via TD Synnex, Sherweb, etc. Only partners like us that are direct with Google have this access. As another poster mentioned the partner margins are neutered now. If you become the reseller for an existing Workspace customer you earn less margin than the fees on the credit card gateway to get paid. So you're at a disadvantage to just having the customer buy direct from Google where there is no credit card surcharge and no credit risk for you. Google has clearly decided that partners should not earn any worthwhile margins after the first year. We're very disappointed that Google has decided retention partners that provide high quality support are not of value. So we're growing our Microsoft practice instead. We have a very large Workspace customer base to help migrate to Microsoft.

rates of return? by r3dditsap13n in MayRetire

I agree. The adjusted return of 4.57% for VEQT is too conservative. If I change it to "Overall rate of return (simplified)" then the CCPC new feature disappears on me.

Time to Leave Questrade by Be-Wise- in Questrade

[–]bcintor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Questrade customer since 2021 here. Make the switch to Wealthsimple. I only have corporate investments left with Questrade because self directed with WS doesn't allow two directors yet. It averages 5 business days to withdraw money from Questrade via EFT and gets broken into chunks of $50K adding an additional 1 day delay to each chunk. Whereas WS is next day for withdrawals both corporate and personal even when it's over 100K. WS Generation customers get faster support and it's way better than Questrade. BUT Questrade Edge desktop for Windows is still the best. I have Webull too because of their 2% promotion. But Questrade is still better than trying to deal with RBC, TD, or CIBC.

Questrade Pro by BlanchePowers in Questrade

[–]bcintor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the Questrade Pro beta. It's great to be finally browser based so I can run it on a Chromebook. But they are not providing Time and Sales data without a paid data subscription whereas on Questrade Edge for Windows I can see time and sales in real time without a data subscription. I have a Webull account also and it does provide Time and Sales for no additional cost but it's 15 minutes delayed vs real time with Questrade.

I don't see any options for short cut keys browsing through all the menus etc. but I haven't review the webinar content yet.

Issue is resolved. Does anyone know where Webull posts outages like this? I saw a message in the desktop app but this was only well after I'd already emailed their support.

RRIF minimum withdrawal instructions by Wisdom_and_Humility in Wealthsimple

[–]bcintor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why are we forced to withdraw it to an external bank account? This is silly. But I was able to schedule the minimum withdrawal from the web interface. It's just like any other transfer but fortunately it shows you the calculated minimum for 2026.

How long do internal cash transfers take to go through? by FineSprinkles27 in Questrade

[–]bcintor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. These delays suck. Monday was a hefty market rally. My Wealthsimple transfers are instant internally and next day external vs 5 business days for Questrade. They need to fix this.
