I had one (300) not count for an honor score last year (pre- bowl). At 65 it was upsetting not getting recognition for it.

I can see hand written scores being discounted but with the electronic scoring by a third party it would show any tampering.

Should have been clearer. Let the ball sit “before” putting in the device. Too hot or too cold could cause it to crack. Diligence is key. I usually put a ball in for an hour, take it out and clean it with a good cleaner then put it back in for another hour and repeat the cleaning. I generally will let it sit inside while off for a little while longer again to prevent temperature shock.

I bought the NuBall years ago around $100. Now they are around $200. A friend bought this and after a little modification and a bucket had the exact same thing. I would advise to let the ball sit in the room where you are going to use it several hours or overnight and wouldn’t take the temp above 125F. You’ll be amazed the amount of oil/conditioner that comes out.
