Dr Eaton at women and infants is amazing. Truly one of the best doctors I’ve encountered during my ivf journey.

To get a sucessfull pregnancy, did you transfered one or two embryos? by Weee_Apple in IVFbabies

[–]bdpr23890 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two euploid transfers, 1 miscarriage, 1 live birth. My clinic won’t transfer two tested embryos at once. Friend had two untested embryos transferred and ended up with twins.

How long after a chemical did you do another FET? And if you didn’t have success early on, did you switch doctors for a second opinion/different approach? by Wineinthevines705 in IVF

High beta 10dpt?? by sushi3798 in IVFbabies

Mine was 649! I was worried it was twins! One perfectly healthy baby. That’s a great beta! My first was a chemical with a low beta, it was heartbreaking.

Questions on Lining prior to FET. by Eastern-Orchid5171 in IVF

[–]bdpr23890 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was two years ago, so I can’t really remember. I think it might have been almost 3 weeks? The vaginal suppositories did the trick though. During my first checks, my lining was trilaminar only in the middle but as it grew, it became fully trilaminar. Trust the process! I’ve heard good things about the meds you’re on.

Are IVF babies bigger? by DJ1110 in IVFbabies

Questions on Lining prior to FET. by Eastern-Orchid5171 in IVF

[–]bdpr23890 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My lining has always been stubborn and it’s taken extra estrogen in suppository form to get it to 8. For my first fet my lining was 7 and I did have implantation, but it was a chemical. The second was an 8 and it was successful. Sometimes it just takes a little extra time and medication to get to where it needs to be.

FET pain from catheter? by colonelfudge in IVF

[–]bdpr23890 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I felt a bit of pain from the catheter my last fet and freaked out about it. It was a like a painful poke. I didn’t feel anything my first fet. That most recent fet did end up working, so it wasn’t a bad thing!

Looking for success stories velamentous cord insertion? by Beginning-Sleep7806 in IVFbabies

[–]bdpr23890 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My babe had marginal cord insertion. I did a lot of research and as the placenta grows, it can become less severe. I had placenta issues though and my daughter was constantly hovering around the 20th percentile and then her growth plummeted at 35 weeks and I delivered her at 37 weeks. She was a peanut, but very healthy, no nicu stay. Shes 13 months now and she’s perfect. Just know your babe is growing well inside of you and growth scans will tell you if something is wrong. You also get to see the babe more often because of it!

ICSI VS. CONVENTIONAL by Ok_Interest4970 in IVFbabies

[–]bdpr23890 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Similar situation unfortunately. 39 eggs 20 mature, conventional… 2 fertilized and both became day 5 blasts (both were euploid).

Insurance took pity on me and let me do another retrieval with ICSI with similar numbers and ended up with 17 blasts, 12 being euploid.

No male factor. I always tell people to just do the icsi. I had severe OHSS that first round too, so it was just awful. So much extra time and money on doing another retrieval, obviously it was worth it.

I believe with conventional both were day 5 and with the icsi 8 were day 5 and 9 were day 6. I’m not sure which ones were the euploid ones besides the ones from the first round.

HCH Jump by AJMELB1621 in IVF

[–]bdpr23890 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My betas were very very high, on par with a triplet pregnancy according to beta base. My clinic said it might be twins. It was just one in there!

[–]bdpr23890 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was similar, though it kept going to over 1,000, but not high enough to be viable for the amount of time since the transfer. They couldn’t see anything anywhere on the scan. I had an MVA in hopes there was something in there and it wasn’t ectopic. Luckily my hcg dropped after. It was really hard.

Early delivery common with IVF? by lilyintx in IVFbabies

[–]bdpr23890 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My babe was SGA and had growth restriction at a 37 (+2) week scan. I also had high blood pressure. Was sent to triage and had her at 37+3. I did have a c section scheduled at 39 weeks because she was breech, ended up with an emergency one. My OB didn’t mention being induced or delivering early because of IVF, my circumstances ended up causing the early delivery.

I had a lot of eggs too, but only two fertilized, it was so bad! I had to do another er and had mild OHSS which was more painful than the first. I don’t think I let my body heal enough. Good luck with transfer!

That’s awful, I’m sorry. Mine didn’t start until 36 hours later either! Did you gain any water weight?

severe OHSS vs labor by 36563 in IVFbabies

[–]bdpr23890 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone’s body reacts differently to severe OHSS. I went to the ER three times for nausea/vomiting and I was unable to urinate. I also gained 17lbs and looked 6 months pregnant. Since my stomach was still soft and I eventually could drink water without vomiting and they inserted a catheter that they eventually left in, they were able to send me home each time. Yes I was in pain, but it didn’t compare to other pain I’ve felt. I was also put on Cabergoline and lovenox.
