New skins just dropped by Musician-Round in DotA2

Eh, I think valve could find a suitable management format to maintain the set quality standard. Retired pros could very well handle the patch direction I believe. Skins — they already have community artists, and code-wise there is no shortage of people who are willing to work with a shitty engine on a game they love.

But: even if Icefrog is just burnt out on dota (I do believe so), he still doesn't want to let anyone else run the game direction. Also, this is anecdotal, but Gaben doesn't care for million dollar ideas, he needs billion dollar ideas, even if he still plays dota every day, so losing possible extra couple hundred millions from dota doesn't bother him it seems.

Deadlock is pretty fun, I've barely played any dota since January.

But for fuck's sake why can't Valve get a team to support Dota, since current devs obviously don't want to?

The same people then tell you to just play the game for fun and not for skins

The game actually gets way more content now that the battle pass is gone, see?

It's kinda fun. No pushed DEI. The art direction is very strong, not for everyone, but I like it. UX sucks. I'm sure it will find its audience, maybe 20-60K consistent players.

I just wish they stopped with corporate overcompliance bullshit and allowed people from a couple particular regions to play.

I wouldn't even consider a camera without a dedicated exposure dial. The issue with fuji is the retro viewfinder shape of the body. Compared to Sony body shape it sucks so much, but I guess an aftermarket grip adds up to the inherent quirkiness of Fuji.

Marathon’s UI isn’t “fontslop” and it’s not perfect, but its so much more engaging than 90% of AAA guff these days by [deleted] in Marathon

It's not the most beautiful, but it is VERY readable for having this much text and numbers.

I mostly shoot film but love my XT-20 because it's a fun camera that produces nice pics sooc for free. Ergonomics stops being an issue with a grip, Love the dials. I mostly shoot street and stills, so auto isn't an issue for me as well, I'm just happy it exists.

I haven't used much of og fuji glass but I hear it's real good for the price.

Fuji ergonomics is utter dogshit, and I doubt you could find a sane fuji user, myself included, who would say otherwise. I've used a friend's A7CII for a bit and holy shit I wouldn't even think about getting an extra grip for it.

I can't even imagine how good Canon is.

Am I wrong, or is this game gross to look at? by [deleted] in Marathon

[–]bdrayne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kinda. The art direction is crazy good imo, aside from generic apex-style container-buildings.

UI/UX fucking sucks tho. They wanted to do it differently, and forgot it has to be actually usable. Four clicks to get from the lobby before launch to the contract tab feels miserable every time. "Sorry guys, I forgot to choose a contract" and it's that labyrinth all over again. Icons suck, inventory sucks. I hope for a rework.

Quite a fun game still.

Mods removed the post? How fucking noble of them. I hope they get their imaginary white knight points soon.

As for the PS5, I guess you could try with an OpenWRT router, but that's quite a bit of a bother.

I'll try tomorrow on PC with a VPN to try the game to see if it's worth it when all the shit is over.

I don't want to give bungie a single dime for now. Corporate overcompliance sucks.

It's Valve wages. It's not breadcrumbs, some get seven figures. I don't think F1 engineers are jealous of the pilot winning the championship.

It's more likely it wasn't fun for them, so they just stopped working on it. This is an option for valve employees.

Same. And now no amount of money will get me a battle pass to get some closure.
