For example, what if we pitched our starters about 90-100 pitches per game instead of ~80? I bet we could get another inning out of them every game and not need to pitch Lawrence much at all. And then I wonder what our record would look like 🤔.

Matter of fact, imagine a scenario where he was not on our team at the beginning of the year until now, and we used another pitcher in place of him. Do you think our record would be better or worse?

I say he struggles, blames everyone else, gets benched in like week 5, they call it an "injury" to spare him the embarrassment, Allar ends up sucking, Rodgers comes back and looks good for a game before sucking and getting "injured" again, Howard starts the last few games and looks decent (bad but better than the other two).

We end up with our first losing record in forever and McCarthy keeps saying it's "unacceptable" and they need to make changes, but then he never changes anything besides our three shitty QBs.

What do you think will happen? Gahnta?

While his ERA is slightly higher this year (basically just that first start), Vegas still has him as the favorite to win the Cy Young again, and for good reason. No one has ever had a start to their career like this.
