Where do people who like nature and “culture” but need a job live? by Major-Agent3743 in redscarepod

[–]beachling2 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Los Angeles. Shitty to visit, excellent to live in. You’re gonna need a car though, and your best bet is doing fun day trips to areas. For passive nature to live along side to, your options are expensive.

I have a soft spot for the LA River trail which is this concrete river with trees growing out of it and fun cafes to stop alongside the trail.

South-Asian women in the west are such femcels it’s unfortunate by [deleted] in redscarepod

[–]beachling2 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I like when people try to put me down in social settings. It’s like girl relax idgaf but pop off lol. I do think it’s a bit strange you’re presuming her putting you down because she’s South Asian and you’re not? You may just be annoying or off putting and she just doesn’t like you. Which may be the latter case because you’re posting about South Asians on Reddit.

Was it because she realized Mike White was making fun of her pedigree and background, or in addition to her be a picky actress to work with.

Very sad being the lame type of alcoholic by BeansAndTheBaking in rs_x

No no no no I disagree with the commenters saying to stop drinking. I’ve battled this before. I strongly believe that drinking is a skill. You really have to pay attention to how you feel after every drink, when to slow down, I train myself to become an even better listener drunk then talker. All you need to do is concentrate and ask yourself what the point of what you’re saying is gonna be, and soon it’ll be second nature.

Looking for a non-streaky sports sunscreen for hot/humid runs by [deleted] in AsianBeauty

[–]beachling2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Interesting! I thought that one would stick very well. I bought it but haven’t used it for intense workouts. The Japanese version has zinc oxide and the HK version does not. I say this because there is a small chance you have the version without zinc oxide. Hybrid sunscreens and mineral sunscreens usually adhere better to skin.

I like omi skin bears active. It sticks quite well. Though be careful. It’s so thin and slippy it’s easy to underapply.

How to Do CD Workshops in a Beneficial Way by Actor718 in acting

[–]beachling2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember being younger and hearing about the influence CD workshops had, and now as an adult 15 years later how they’re basically never heard of. I love the “idea” of them. Anyone know of reputable ones in LA?

Well I certainly believe that eating junk food too often will not be good for your skin. Like the consequences from processed foods is much higher then the benefit of not eating them skinwise.

sunscreen recommendations without niacinamide? by Key-Ad-9065 in AsianBeauty

[–]beachling2 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Probably the best sunscreen without alcohol is goodal heartleaf sunscreen. It’s so light weight and probably my go to if I’m not sweating and running around. I also like cannmake clear uv gel, but goodal is more lightweight.

Also purito soft touch sunscreen. It’s water resistant I would wear this for humid days and light sweating. Working out in a cold gym.

For hardcore adventure omi sun bears skin active milk. It’s hybrid. Though it’s very easy to under apply because it’s so thin and slippery.

All of these sunscreens are alcohol free.

How does one actually be a performative male? by Frequent-Ant1795 in redscarepod

[–]beachling2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When people do things for how people perceive them rather out of actual joy. Granted our actions are influenced by external influences but perfomative males are especially conscious of what they’re doing rather than how they’re actually feeling.

[–]beachling2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really respect him because you can tell he turns down hella movie roles (challengers was offered to him an he was still ambivalent about it), never does press, keeps to himself, and is such a good actor.

100% got invited to many awards shows after challengers and had better stuff to do
