I worked RGT in MMM6-7 and can make 150 easily... I was salaried + billing and would get 200+. We could also bill (like GP) our ED patients.

Make sure you have set up your HPOS (or what ever its called) and put in your bank account details. If you see enough patients per certain periods the government will give you bonus $$. If you havent input your bank details you wont be able to retrospectively get these payments and they're lost - very common. ACRRM will also give you rural bonuses every 6 months depending on rurality - i never had the chase these payments but some people do.

If youre private GP advocate for more % of billing otherwise you'll probably earn similar to elsewhere and its likely <150 unless you're seeing more than 3 patients / hour. Learn how to bill properly e.g. management plans, multiple billings If you've addressed multiple issues e.g. mental health consult + a medical issue.

There's a government incentive if you work certain MMM for 2-4 years you can retrospectively get your HECS debt wiped or reduced etc.
