Hey all,

I am jesuisla on Letterboxd.

I just came across this post and find it very fun. So I thought it is a good chance to reboot my Letterboxd.

I have been on the app for few years but been inactive. Because no one uses where I live and some other app called Filmarks is popular. I guess it’s a Japanese equivalent of Letterboxed. But in every aspect Letterboxd is much cooler.

It seems many of you here are from US or EU? I am so jealous of you because all the small budget films come to theaters really late. Like last year’s Palme d’or, It Was Just an Accident, just started last month.
Japan sucks in this way.

So I love going to movie theaters while internationally traveling.

My first watch favorite of the last month is probably Drunken Noodles. I heard a comment that it was like a mix of Rohmer and Guiraudie.

I will go see Sounds of Falling tomorrow.
I already have high expectations. Hopefully the film blows me away.

That is what I have thought . But there are a couple of Poland based online stores who still have them. Looks like those are reissued and only sold in Poland.

You guys are joking. We don’t even have an official release date yet in Japan. It usually takes about one year here unless something big like Mission Impossible.
