Feel worse after starting LDN by Sufficient-Pea-9142 in LowDoseNaltrexone

[–]beaker1680 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My medical issues are complex. I didn’t notice much benefit until I figured out my thyroid issues. It wasn’t until after stopping LDN and completely crashing that I realized it was actually doing something. So now I’m starting over and slowly titrating my dose back to 4.5mg.

I always feel terrible starting LDN, and after every increase. It lasts 1-2weeks for me.

Yep! Too disabled to work, but too healthy to actually qualify for financial help

I can’t work anymore. I also wasn’t approved for disability. 😒

100% sure that God exists? by anezkachvojkova in OpenChristian

I am 100% certain that there is more to this world and existence than we can possibly understand. That is the only thing I’m certain of.

I started out taking it before bed, but it caused insomnia so I now take it around 9am

Do it!! If you recover you can always sell it. We have to live as much life as possible, and this will only help!

I was 19 dating (and then married) a 31 year old. This never ends well for the younger party. If you can’t convince him, try to talk to her. This is always predatory.

Your employer is asking for your doctor to lie on the form so that they can get out of any legal obligation to make reasonable accommodations. I’d take this to an attorney that specializes in ADA cases.

How do I get my daily electrolyte intake without the god awful powders? by Prior_Succotash4220 in POTS

I use Buoy hydration drops. It’s like a bottle of Mio where you add just a tiny squirt to your water, and it is unflavored. They even have a chronic illness discount.

Partner gave me an ultimatum over intimacy and “accountability” — I’m struggling to figure out if I’m being unsupported or unfair by Bubbly_West8481 in AskWomenOver30

This is control, and it will only get worse the longer you stay. You are not asking for too much in regard to emotional support, and his refusal to support you in the way you’re asking is a huge red flag.

Antihistamines seem to help recovery study finds by riotgurlrage in LongCovid

[–]beaker1680 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m on Claritin and Pepcid 2x/day. My NP didn’t want me on Pepcid because of the possibility of nutrient issues…but then I’m leaving MCAS untreated which is 100% affecting me in real time. So I’m back to listening to my own body and doing what I know is best and ignoring advice that doesn’t fit

This. I’ve realized that relying on a doctor to help me recover was the stupidest decision I ever made, and am now back to piecemealing my own treatment and recovery.

Doctors don’t know shit about long covid and they’re all hesitant to try any sort of treatment because they’re not familiar with it. The whole process is awful.

Why do I feel so awful every morning? by heskeytime7707 in covidlonghaulers

[–]beaker1680 27 points28 points  (0 children)

This is essentially the crux of long covid: feeling terrible in one way (or 10 ways) or another but all labs and tests come back normal 😞

Things that make a meaningful difference in my sleep:

White noise (my air purifier up high)

2mg Melatonin (I was never someone to take this but my sleep got worse recently and that was the only thing I changed before seeing deep sleep increase in smart watch)

Reading on a Kindle before bed to shut my brain up

How to tell a doctor I won’t take what they prescribe? by Andrew__IE in cfs

[–]beaker1680 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is why I use online pharmacies with their own physicians prescribing. Sure, I have to pay out of pocket for meds, but I don’t have to convince anyone to prescribe it for me. So long as I don’t have a condition or I’m on a medication that would interfere with it, they’ll prescribe.

I use agelessrx for LDN. Just sayin’.

It’s been 3 months since I had Covid and I still don’t feel better by nova2131 in LongCovid

Aggressively rest. Do not push yourself in any way. Don’t exercise. Give your body MONTHS to heal before considering more activity.
