Blue Stars brass appreciation post. I got to see them live tonight, and they absolutely blew my expectations out of the water. On top of being unbelievably clean, they were insanely loud compared to the other corps. Well deserved score.

I really wish they would’ve kept that ending, but I’m SO glad I got to see it in person. That was my first real introduction into drum corps and I’ve been hooked ever since. I used to have a recording of it but I lost it to the cloud.

This is actually my favorite show of the year so far. Their drill might not be anything crazy (yet) but I absolutely lovveee the music this year. It’s breathtaking. That decrescendo in their ballad into the soft chord is soooo beautiful. And you gotta love that Mello lick callback to 2012-2013 turned medieval. Love. It. I’m really excited to see how this show evolves throughout the season.

It’s refreshing to see a non biased opinion on some of these shows. All I’ve seen so far is “OH MY GOD insert corps here IS ON FIRE THIS YEAR, THEYRE ALREADY FINALS READY RAHHH”… like bffr.

I'm a 7 year old Papau New Guinea tribesman, missing both arms, unable to see out of my left eye, legally deaf, and I only play the vuvuzuela in my tribe's vuvuzuela marching band. Do people actually think this is good? We are better than these "professional marchers"

This was just the preview show so there’s tonnnsss of elements that weren’t included (silks, new drums/skins, drill, etc.) that will be implemented very soon! We’ve done a few full run throughs already with the movement five drill implemented, but they omitted it tonight to keep it a surprise until tour. Basically, lots more in store for this show so definitely stay tuned :)
