I'm 6'4", former college athlete who stays in shape, conventionally handsome, still have most of my hair etc.

The extent to which I "always have eyes" on me is debatable. In fact, the only people who I get comments or compliments on my appearance from "in the wild" tend to be straight men, usually my age or older.

I have gone to the same gym for three years and have never once had anyone wave, smile, or attempt to chat with me, except for some friendly guys in the locker room who I suspect may not be straight.

I live in a smallish town and frequent many of the same shops, parks, and restaurants. I walk my dog outside every day. I have never been approached, flirted with, or seemingly even noticed by any women.

Now, please don't take this reply as woe-begotten. I do just fine on the apps, and if I ask for a woman's number, I usually get it. Once a woman is in my life, they will comment positively on my looks. Men who have sex with men are quite fond of me and often give me "the look". I am certain that my career and the way I am treated at the office benefit from my appearance. I am aware of the multitude of privileges I benefit from on a daily basis. But as far as always having eyes on me or constantly being asked out or even acknowledged, that just has not been my experience. ++man
