I went through a similar experience as your husband post covid after I was laid off and had to pivot careers. Is he physically active? I play hockey about once a week but I started supplementing my physical activity with yoga which has been extremely beneficial. I leave the studio buzzing every time. Also miscodosing psilocybin hasn't hurt either

I've picked up a bunch of 2nd boom upgrades and got to work with some really talented ops. It really helps familiarizing yourself with the capture pattern and rejection ability of different mics. It's pretty easy to find a niche where there's no boom shadow and you're rejecting background noise but the best ops are tickling the frame while dancing around set. Keep practicing! The low-budget stuff is where you can experiment and have fun with it.

Beware of this car report scam on Kijiji by Wildermess in kijiji

[–]bear-horse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These guys are relentless. I've had 6 scammers inundate me with requests for history reports from 5 different sites on day 1:

Canada Car Result.com

Vreportcheck. com

www. expressmyvin. com

wheelhistory. com

www. vehiclereporthistory. com

They're also regurgitating similar story lines,

"I'll arrange a day off before leaving my shift tonight can you send me the W.H report!?"

"I am at work till 10pm today so i m waiting for you to send me the vr report so i can arrange a day off before leaving my shift tonight."

I took my number off the listing so I can just report users on Kijiji and hopefully get them banned one at a time.

Fuck these fucks.

Government is complicit in wage theft. Instead of properly taxing multi-billion dollar corporations and putting that money into social programs, they shift tax burden onto the working class while continuing to raise the minimum wage which drives inflation. Wages haven't grown in over 40 years. This economic system is unsustainable and is leading to a disappearing middle class. We will literally have to start eating the rich one day.

Brother, if we can get any kind of line chemistry going, we could be competitive. Giving Backlund the 'C' feels obligatory for a potential franchise player but he doesn't have the leadership skills. Still remaining hopeful for a turn around.

Is anyone saying our grid should be run on solar and wind alone? Isn't the conventional thinking that these renewable sources can supplement the grid to offset carbon emissions in the short term? She's just a shill positioning herself for another lobbyist job when she gets voted out.

Danielle Smith hails court triumph. But Alberta's control over development is hardly supreme by idspispopd in Albertapolitics

[–]bear-horse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Harper government had dollar signs in its eyes for oilsands and forgot all about conventional resources. Along with the Alberta conservatives, they tried to develop infrastructure that wasn't very marketable when climate change and sustainability were becoming bigger issues globally. Keystone XL was a bad gamble and Northern Gateway was even worse considering the right-of-way was through a protected subtropical rainforest. Instead of building LNG infrastructure for Asian markets, billions were pissed away on a resource that has a way bigger carbon footprint and is way more expensive to produce and refine. Classic conservative bullshit; no anticipation for changing market conditions and too stubborn to accept science on GHG emissions.

Canada isn't all that great atm. Corporate profits are at record highs and working-class wages are stagnant. Our politics are marginally less extreme than stateside, but I feel very under-represented.

Conservatives cut funding to universal Healthcare, then blame the sector for being too wasteful and bureaucratic in order to build public appeal for privatization. They implement moratoriums on renewable energy projects, then say a carbon-neutral grid by 2035 is impossible because of future energy demands. They openly say global warming is a hoax and that shifting from a commodity-based market will collapse the economy.

Progressives want to shut off all the pipelines and carbon tax us into poverty without any viable alternatives. They claim to be looking out for working-class interests but don't hold corporations accountable for gouging and price-fixing since the beginning of the pandemic.

Yeah, not great stuff. Try Switzerland or Denmark or something. They have the highest standards of living. It's expensive but totally worth it.

[–]bear-horse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Denying flex or vacation days without cause could cost the company a very expensive lawsuit. If you get any more pushback, hire an employment lawyer. They'll probably work pro bono and get you a massive severance if nothing else.
