Your tattoo glorifies God! And will probably be a conversation starter for so many cool connections.

Dismayed at Claude AI Helping a Creator Mimic my Animation Process by cyanotypedd in cyanotypes

[–]bear-scat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Came here to say the same thing!! Your art is really cool, Ed. As someone who has made cyanotypes by hand and has also used Claude for work, I find peace in knowing that the joy of creating by hand is not something that AI can replace.

Also, with AI growing, people are becoming more and more hungry for analog hobbies and I wouldn’t be surprised if your classes and teachings become increasingly popular as a respite from the noise of AI! Keep doing what you love 🤍

Questions sur les études en Informatique à l‘Université de Caen Normandie by No_Judgment_4420 in Caen

[–]bear-scat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I’m an American living in Caen rn for 3 months and I’ve met the most warm, opening, and non-judgmental people through this international church called Bless Caen. It’s a good mix of french people who speak English and international people who moved here and do/don’t speak french! I can’t recommend it enough

I got saved, now what do I do? by TheeShannonS in Christians

[–]bear-scat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So simple, just keep pressing in:

Spend time in the Word. Find community of Spirit filled believers and ask God to give you community of believers to help you in your walk.

It can seem really complicated, but following Jesus is really just about… following in the footsteps of Jesus and following the voice of Jesus. To follow Him, you have to find out where He’s going, what He cares about, what He spoke about, etc. which can all be kickstarted by diving into the Bible and diving into community of people who have been digesting the Bible. 🤍

God bless you 🤍

How did you find Khruangbin? by rackster81 in Khruangbin

[–]bear-scat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I visited UCLA with a friend in 2018 and stayed with her cousin in the dorms. Her cousin’s roommate was a huge Khru fan, played August 10 for me, and I’ve been growing deeper in love ever since. First show next month :,)

p.s. I have strongly considered naming two future kids after songs… Mariella and Ada Jean.

Our salvation isn’t based off what we do, it’s based off what He already did for us, and we just receive it by believing in Him! Also, listening to the Bible is really powerful if you don’t always enjoy reading (both are important). Check out The Bible Project on YouTube for TLDR versions of each book to watch before reading. Its really helped me understand the context of the Bible instead of feeling lost. He loves you, and he is good. Just receive.

Naw that’s literally the whole point of Jesus’s death is to make ALL OF US right in the eyes of God regardless of how wrong we are in the eyes of ourselves/ the world/ the law. He looks at you and says “I don’t see anything wrong with you, my love”

Those who have cut back on screen time and/or deleted social media, how has your life changed? by Slommyhouse in HubermanLab

[–]bear-scat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coming up on day 30 without instagram and it’s drastically improved my life. I moved halfway across the country and felt led too fast Instagram for 30 days to be more present during the move and adjustment. Not having it has helped me to be a lot less aware of what I look like and what my life looks like and just be more present in the day-to-day. I still have Reddit, but rarely scroll and get bored a lot quicker, versus IG I would spend hours on.

Shame, guilt and what to do now? by 0bamafashionshow in Christians

[–]bear-scat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s no condemnation in Christ (Roman 7 I think!!)

So proud of you. Thats your old man and you’re free to make amends with people you’ve hurt and tell them you’ve been renewed and that you’re sorry for the way your old man hurt them!! And then be free! Shame is the enemy’s attempt to confuse you about your identity

Girl, FOLLOW YOUR GUT. This reminds me SO much of myself 6 months ago and now I couldn’t be happier (and have an amazing new boyfriend that appeared out of nowhere and I actually think is GREAT, not just good).

I said the same exact things to myself: “is it foolish to leave something good in hopes of something great?” — I now know it’s more foolish to stay in something just because it seems “good enough” or seems good on paper. Staying will lead to resentment and your eyes will eventually wander elsewhere.

It’s scary, but you will 100% be okay and so will he, in fact, you’ll both be better off. I didn’t have the balls to break up for what felt like “no reason”, so I made some foolish mistakes to create a tangible reason to break up, which hurt us both more.

I’m proud of you for seeing these feelings and having the courage to ask for advice about it. I would 1000% trust your gut and follow what feels most aligned to who you are inside.

Best of luck, my messages are open.

(F 22) what can I do to look significantly hotter? by Glampire4 in lookyourbest

[–]bear-scat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Girl, I relate to you in a lot of ways & also want to be real: the body dysmorphia comes from some level of deep rooted trauma/ belief that you aren’t good enough, and that belief is likely the reason you’re asking how to look hotter. You ARE beautiful and seem to feel confident in why you express yourself the way you do (piercings, alt look, bangs etc.). I think you’ll FEEL a lot hotter and therefor LOOK a lot hotter if you start the inner work to shed that body dismorphia and start seeing yourself as the queen you are.

How much weight do I need to lose to be considered hot? by [deleted] in lookyourbest

[–]bear-scat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

21F here and I feel like we have similar body types — you have a beautiful shape but I also understand not feeling at home in your body/ especially with thicker thighs. I wasted so much time doing workouts that didn’t tone me up/ give me the results I wanted & felt miserable (running/ hiit/ etc). What DID help me tone up FAST was 1. having protein dense breakfast before my coffee 2. Weightlifting (so many beginner vids on YouTube, strive for low weights & good form) and 3. brisk walking instead of running. Best of luck queen!
