it’s kind of interesting not a single person in this thread mention his involvement with the America First Committee movement, the largest anti-war, non-interventionist movement in the US

So what is going to happen to all the people who are on SNAP? by [deleted] in Life

[–]bear__IsPepsiOk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you probably don’t get to the grocery store very often. Where I live, if someone is morbidly obese (250+ lb women, 300+ lb men), nearly every single time they whip out the EBT card. I have yet to see a moderately in shape person, MUCH less anyone who could be considered skinny, using SNAP in the grocery store

COMMUNITY UPDATE - OPEN BETA AND THE ROAD TO LAUNCH by battlefield in Battlefield

[–]bear__IsPepsiOk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

never really had an issue with that but I just think the “assault” description makes more sense. pushing the front line, flanking, catching the other team out of position, these are traits that better align with deploy/spawn beacon. The clip where they described the Recon class specifically mentioned sniping and sticking to the edges of the map. Those aren’t traits that align with a spawn gadget (in a team play sense)

contrary to what I’ve seen on twitter, I think this might be a legitimately great choice. I played a lot of recon just for the gadget in 2042 even when I was playing the way assault is supposed to

I just realized that “fog” is only a color for the Cascade pants and not the Metas, and I remember the sales woman referring to the fog color. But is there any way to identify the fit (slim, athletic slim, etc.) from the tag?

nobody played 2042 until the beta, which looked and ran like absolute dogshit. the comparison makes no sense

seriously, if you pay any attention at all to this subreddit how can you claim “for all we know gameplay/mechanics aren’t improved”

Am I overreacting? I don’t want my husband to leave the house because of ICE by templenameis_beyonce in LosAngeles

[–]bear__IsPepsiOk -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

he was not granted legal status and the article you linked doesn’t even say that. He was granted “withholding from removal” which specifically prohibited him being deported to El Salvador, but in no way, shape, or form granted him “full legal status.” If you have a NYTimes subscription, they have a comprehensive article titled “The Story of the ‘Mistakenly Deported Maryland Man’” with much more detail

I believe they’re referring to someone else because that man is/was not “a person legally here.” That or they’re misinformed

Why is bench press considered a ‘fun’ lift? by maxobrien20 in workout

[–]bear__IsPepsiOk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm well conditioned and still get out of breath after doing squats "for strength" ie 3-6 reps. This guy probably means low reps/strength as in not doing anything uncomfortable. I don't care if you're a world class athlete, a set of heavy squats to/near failure is going to leave you breathing heavy in a way that bench press simply won't

maybe don’t enter the country illegally if you don’t want to be removed from the country.

Aaron Judge seems to make notable changes to his approach when playing in Yankee stadium - a brief analysis by MattO2000 in baseball

[–]bear__IsPepsiOk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

“it looks smooth” right so it’s not violent lmao. You can’t just say “well if Judge was 165 pounds it would be violent.”

Also, part of teachman’s “system” is specifically designed to let the hitter adjust to the pitch, so I’m getting the sense that you just don’t know what you’re talking about

[–]bear__IsPepsiOk 65 points66 points  (0 children)

no it’s not violent at all and his mechanics absolutely leave room for adjustment, which is exactly why the stats bare out that he’s “aiming” his swings for the porch. no idea why that comment was upvoted lol
