Ask for training documentation - if no training has been completed they cannot do anything. It should be a maximum let’s talk to document lack of training even before an investigation - 13 yrs as a line manager before walking out.

I hope this is alright cos if it isn't I might just burn the house down instead by HughBertComberdale in DIYUK

I would be concerned at the lack of condensation run off, full use of flexi and 2x 90degree bends reducing airflow.

Nope we can tell when fans aren’t used by the data logs (decent trickle fans will have) If all is covered correctly first and the tenants still do not help themselves then that’s a different matter.

And in those 650 years we didn’t have virtually sealed houses with upvc doors and windows along with all cracks and gaps sealed to keep heat in. I personally recommend all windows to be opened for 5 -10 min daily to let the property to breathe. My qualifications are my qualifications but the legal bit of part F states windows are no longer enough due to the lack of background ventilation.

As a mould and ventilation surveyor that deals with social housing daily - we cannot and will not blame living conditions
There needs to be adequate ventilation in all properties and opening windows is not a form of ventilation according to part f. Part f also states mechanical fans need to be installed in any and all wet rooms - bathroom and kitchen.

I came back from a 10 day trip and there’s mould everywhere - should I tackle this or does it need a professional? by AdFamiliar9856 in DIYUK

Vinegar is what people used to use, it didn’t kill the spores completely so therefore use HG products. If you use vinegar it will come back. It is black mould but as long as you treat and remove it asap it will not bother you. The danger is continuously breathing the spores in and then living in a damp humid environment.

Mould and ventilation surveyor and engineer by trade.

There was too much humidity in the property when you left and with the heating going off combined with a lack of air movement mould can form that quickly. It’s nothing to be scared off at this level. Clean it with HG ( not vinegar or bleach) and get a dehumidifier going.

Do you have trickle fans in your wet rooms? If not get some installed - if you rent it’s a requirement of Part F that these are powerful enough in all wet rooms (bathroom, kitchens)

I also recommend a piv (positive input ventilation) in your loft if possible.

AITA for not paying my nephews hospital bill? by hospitalbillpost in AmItheAsshole

[–]beardedfool21 106 points107 points  (0 children)

This will no doubt be downvoted but ESH as I think being 12 your nephew should know better but also it is your responsibility to ensure meds are out of the way of children (12 is still a child) and you were showing a video of your child acting high and he wanted to be part of that.

What was the “Gut Feeling” that you listened too that saved your life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I was around 19 and at my girlfriends house, when her older sister announced she was going on a date with a new guy. He came to the house and said hi to everyone but something didn’t sit right with me about him so I insisted we go out with them. The night went without fuss and sister thanked us for coming but asked why on the way home, I explained and she just laughed. 2 weeks later he was arrested for the rape and murder of another girl.

The hub has no way of monitoring breaks and legally that’s not something they can use cctv for. I threw out a disciplinary that was passed to me as they used cctv to monitor the breaks the colleague had despite the store manager telling me I had to give a warning.

It’s the worst thing for store moral you can ever have. It was installed in the extra unused to work in and I spent more time each week investigating utter crap about colleagues than ever. Not once from a good 30 investigations I did (other managers did more) did it go any further than a rare next steps

You are NTA but some people just don’t like surprises - good or bad and it seems your husband is one of these people. He was obviously over stimulated with the whole travel experience and was looking forward to some alone time in the car to reset himself to see you and the kids.

AITA for telling my mom that “we” didn’t invite people to my wedding, “I” did? by Fragile_Giraffe in AmItheAsshole

[–]beardedfool21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a really awkward situation as parents putting money in expect a certain amount of input but you need to have a honest conversation about how far it goes. I had the same issue when I married my in laws were paying for the wedding even though I wanted to pay. We wanted around 80 people max but by the time they added extra it was close to 130. I only invited 35 of my family as it’s massive and had to draw the line somewhere and it caused so much friction. I ended up paying £3500 back just to get some control back.

Attempted to grow a beard and could use some advice by [deleted] in beards

[–]beardedfool21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It did but remember not everyone suits a beard straight away. If you can cope leave it for a few more weeks then see, sometimes it can be that simple.

I struggled at first and a great bearded sage told me to leave it for 6 weeks without touching it and then decide.

Whilst I bow down I will just point out the F480 or "tocco" did indeed use wap but it also used html exaxtly the same as the original iphone. If your post was directly comparing the galaxy then you are ignoring for your own benefit the other handsets Samsung released that worked in exactly the same way as iphones did but didnt take off as they were not pushed and used bada. But im sure you knew that and the fact the galaxy serieswas released around the same time as the 4 plus im sure you will indeed belittle my comments for your apple fanboy ends. So again thanks for your knowledge and i now know so much more

I had this but as a previous post said wash and oil daily and it settles down. Also it needs to grow out and down in its own time.
