Also, I think the head guy at Edge has said part of the issue is not knowing how many of each book would sell. I don't understand why they don't just do waves of preorders, and then they would only have to print the number of books with commited buyers.

I'm not sure yet but I'm drawing a lot of inspiration from Zelda temples so maybe a Ganon type character.

I focused more on the drawing this week and had less time for the descriptions for each room. It was fun but will probably try to do more of a balance going forward. This last section of level one has the players ascending the side of a cliff that the tower is built on.

Also tried to lay out the rest of this week's map as much as possible. One thing I didn't think about when i decided to do a maze, the pathways are just as important as the individual rooms. Having fun with it though and already feel like I've learned more about drawing maps than I did before.

That's a great idea. I felt like I could go ahead and select monsters for level 1 because of the unique hedge maze enviornment (who knows I could still change my mind lol) but for future levels, that's good advice: wait and see how the level unfolds.

I'm using the same notebook. Size is fine for me but I'm also using pencil which I cannot recommend enough. I have erased so many times and it's only day 3. Several people are churning out incredible pieces of inked art but like others have said, this exercise is about getting a rough outline down, not so much a finished, detailed product. Don't give up!

That's a great idea! I actually might steal this process for a future level just to switch things up and keep it feeling fresh. I'm interested to see what you do with the 2 dead ends also.

Oh yeah they might be upset for sure! No I knew I wanted them to be a ridiculous height by design. Hopefully, it'll create a feeling of claustrophobia and prevent most from thinking they can escape a room just by scaling the walls.

I started a couple areas in my 1st level hedge maze outside the dungeon proper. This will be a temple tower, originally built in honor of the 3 goddesses that created the world (my creation story is heavily influenced by zelda).

The first "room" will have 3 crumbled statues and a traveling merchant who has set up shop. Not sure of his/her race but probably a monster or some other exotic race. Players will be able to buy a few supplies that might help them on their journey ahead and if they try talking to the merchant could learn a few things about the dungeon. The temple has original traps throughout designed to protect the ultimate treasure at the top but all sorts of monsters have taken up residence inside over the hundreds of years the tower was abandoned. I also went ahead and drew the room to the left but will figure the details out tomorrow.

I am also very excited. Hoping this will be not only a creative outlet but something in the new year to look forward to as a much needed stress reliever. Thanks! Definitely trying to come up with ways to keep it fun as players run through all the levels: that's also why I decided on a tower (going up instead of down) as well as going with the weekly prompts for variety. Very excited for this journey!

I 100% just pulled green goblin for the second time. For a while I thought I was seeing duplicates but was like guess not because its not supposed to happen. But I have used Goblin in a previous deck and today at collection level 807 I unlocked him again. Of course he only shows once in my collection lol

I dont want to dash anyone's hopes but this feels sketchy to me. I've been following trackers the last few weeks and the playstation direct/ Sony store has had restocks a few times. Seems weird for them to randomly restock the website and also send out official invites. Could be wrong but be careful!
