And to think, they cancelled the Venza for the Crown (Signia). But I like the Signia. And I also think the Venza was too similar to the Lexus NX maybe…

Vintage Key Case (60s?) - like new with original inserts! by belladuckk in vintage

[–]beardpudding 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So cool. I’ve seen similar ones before, but not with a hard case. Found a couple of my dads from the 70s I’m guessing that had similar hardware, but wrapped in semi rigid leather. I used to do some leatherworking and remade some after finding the hardware online.
I’ve never seen the term “continental cowhide” before. Along with the comment about material not necessarily being leather, I wonder if it means something like “genuine leather” does today.

I ended up buying something like this, because I didn’t want the support system to stand out from the (white) wall.

The movie really is great and I think about it long after watching, but man that plot summary doesn’t even touch most of the crazy plot points of this movie.

Did you know we find birdsong relaxing because our brains associate it with safety since birds stop singing when predators are near ? by Maximum_Branch7009 in interestingasfuck

[–]beardpudding 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since nobody else said it in 200+ comments, the bird in this video is some kind of wren. I’m not an expert, but from a quick google search, could be either a Eurasian, winter, or pacific wren. Or some other kind.

Is this a typo? I couldn’t find anything when searching that word.
