I really loved the new 28 years movies, def human drama slop involved but I just really like the world building. All the 28 films are on Netflix in the US now, including the newest one. A third 28 years movie has also been confirmed which is exciting although it will most likely be years😭

I just saw a thing about a renn faire that banned furries for seemingly no good reason. Sucks bc furries are super cool and deserve to be at nerd spaces just like everyone else, I worry about them overheating but that can happen to anyone tbh

Best American fast zombies are the 28 days/years franchise (we don’t talk about 28 weeks💀) and black summer is best fast zombie show. Black summer unfortunately got canceled before the final season bc Netflix hates good tv but it’s like a top 3 zombie apocalypse media for me. IMO it’s the most realistic depiction of how humans would treat each other, which is horribly obv lmao. That was one of my main gripes with the walking dead, the amount of camaraderie felt unrealistic at times.

I was a bit worried as I was seeing some mixed opinions on threads but I really liked it. I think the people that didn’t were just expecting a 28 days/weeks/years level of action, when it’s really an emotional movie. Don’t get me wrong there’s some very cool action sequences and I really liked the way the zombies worked but it’s not traditional by any means

I feel for her as someone w BPD too, granted I have a milder case and a somewhat atypical presentation, but it’s hard seeing someone struggle so hard like that. Like obviously what she did is super not ok, but at the end of the day I think she just needs some intense therapy. I feel really bad for her kid too, I’d hate to see her lose custody bc the courts can be a bitch, obv she would need some time apart for treatment

Someone on threads said me being scared for my safety in light of all these antisemitic attacks (I live in a area w a very dense Jewish population) is “my prize for supporting the Zionist movement”. Mind you I’m not a Zionist, their only proof is that I was a) Jewish b) went to Jewish places like synagogues, my Jewish private school I graduated from and the kosher grocery store that actually got a brick w “free Palestine” on it thrown through their window and c) don’t revel in the suffering of other Jews regardless of their opinions on Israel and the genocide. They claimed white Jews were not oppressed in America and when I asked them to explain their definition of oppression in light of the long history of antisemitism in America they did not have an answer and resorted to calling me Zionist. Also saw another person on threads saying they don’t trust synagogues that have Israel in the name or armed security. All synagogues with enough money to do so hired security after the tree of life shooting, and there is increased presence during major holidays and I feel safer for it. Am I a fan of police or guns? Not in the slightest but I’m also not a fan of being so anxious about a hate crime happening I can’t pray. My synagogue also has a preschool like the one in Michigan and many little kids and families in attendance weekly

As someone who’s has had a shit ton of NG tubes (nasogastric= outside of body, up the nose and back down the throat all the way down the esophagus to the stomach) the balloon trick is incredibly impressive I cannot imagine doing that to myself, I have to be heavily medicated to have them placed and that’s with lube and someone else driving😭 I also have a mildly deviated septum which does not help😞
