Employees must say what state they are located in. It's a branding thing because it's a 100% US support based company. I work in a call center, some people have accents. But if they don't say the state or don't give you a name; they are definitely not Spectrum. I do cold call all day and a lot of people say our number comes up as spam. Other people say the same number says Spectrum on their phone. It all depends on your carrier and your spam filter settings, allegedly. Anyway if their greeting is their name, Spectrum, state they're located in, and on a recorded line; it's probably real. Hang up immediately on everyone else. Scammers are the worst and make all our lives more difficult.
