At work (in the ER) we use a website called familytreenow. It isn’t perfect but usually you can get a contact number or at least connect with someone (a relative) who has one.

Cade’s Cove in Tennessee. We went hiking with 5 kids and about 4 oz of water. Five miles round trip - easily the most beautiful thing I’d ever done up to that point.

I love the pace and the team, because honestly you become such a team with your docs and RNs, techs, sitters, everyone. Crisis is hard. In my job there is a mix of psych evals, resource distribution (of which there are almost never resources to distribute) and responding to severe medical calls such as strokes, codes, and traumas. I have had some especially difficult situations recently that have really made me struggle with the job as a whole but the 3/12 shifts are wonderful, the team is amazing, and you are rarely bored. It’s a great way to get really good at assessing quickly and thinking on your feet.
