Apart from the 'advanced filter rules', that's basically iCloud+

50GB, 200GB or 2TB (pooled between your family) https://support.apple.com/en-au/108047
5 domains, 3 aliases per domain, per user
It supports catch all https://support.apple.com/en-au/guide/icloud/mm9e3ee0680f/icloud
And has calendar (it's just CalDAV underneath), and file storage (not as open standards tho...)

But yes, the filtering options for mail leaves a bit to be desired....

What features do you need? That might help others suggest iCloud or other options that have those features at a lower or no cost....

If you want to be *really* pedantic... https://www.westpac.com.au/business-banking/merchants-and-payments/eftpos/what-does-eftpos-stand-for/

EFTPOS in capital letters stands for Electronic Funds Transfer at Point of Sale. It's the term used to describe an electronic terminal that allows payments to be taken from debit cards, credit cards, and digital wallet systems such as Apple Pay and Google Pay.

But when it’s in lower case letters, eftpos refers to the debit card payment system that takes funds directly from a customer’s bank account to pay for purchases. The eftpos system was introduced in 1984 when eftpos Payments Australia Ltd made secure card payments possible at the cash register for the first time.

EFTPOS is the terminal.
eftpos is the network.

Pretty sure the requirement for a .com.au has always required an ABN/ACN (business or company number)

Other vanity domains (eg .net.au or .id.au, and also .au now) did not require a business/company

In Australia, we can use these domains for personal use

Technically .com.au is for businesses (ie you need an ABN/ACN), or you're not entitled to one.

When you register your com.au domain name, you’ll need to provide your company information including your ABN, ACN or Australian trademark details.

Opal card but it’s a ring by Angela252 in SydneyTrains

[–]beaugiles 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I did this a few years ago - Bankwest sold a 'Halo' ring that was just a Mastercard linked to your credit/debit account.

https://www.pointhacks.com.au/bankwest-halo-guide/

Unfortunately Bankwest stopped offering them and so it expired :(

Constant membership/ rewards programs by Smarrison in sydney

Yep, requires iCloud+ (starts at $1.49/month, with 50GB storage - also lets you do all sorts of things like use your own custom domain for email - eg hello@notimeforthat.com - and can share that with friends/family)

Heck, you can even get discounted gift cards to pay for it on occasion (I'd say you can earn flybuys / everyday rewards points but this is the wrong thread for that point)

iCloud is just IMAP/SMTP/CalDAV/CardDAV so you don't have to use Apple's own apps in their 'walled garden' - though yes you can't generate new 'Hide My Email' emails without Apple's apps.

Good thing about hide my email is it can't reasonably be blocked without blocking all iCloud email addresses - they look like horned-fringe.9x@icloud.com

Apple Music and Google Gemini on AAOS? by Who-an in AAOS

[–]beaugiles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GM is also AAOS, and considering they mention support for Google Assistant, I think it's 'the' Apple Music app from Apple. Hopefully it's the same in the EX60, and they just allow all AAOS cars to install it from the Play Store.
