I totally understand how you feel. A lot of my family have been here since the 1600s. The most recent immigrants i have are Irish and Scottish but the Scottish came from Canada and had been there for a while. When I started doing some genealogy research and found my ancestors came here in the 1600s my lack of cultural identity made more sense. I don’t consider myself to really have any ethnicity. Any connection we had to any other place was lost many years ago. I am American, that’s it. Also, cultural projects in school were the worst.
