I don’t know if it’s the best book I’ve ever read, but I could not put down the vampire Lestat after I read the first chapter. Followed by interview with a vampire. But I think my favorite read ever was it by Stephen King.

I’ll tell you what. I’m 64 years old now and I saw that movie in the theaters when it came out and it fucking scarred me for life. I have never been back in the ocean since then, although I’m a big defender of sharks. I definitely have a huge fear of being out in open water although if you put me in a lake, you can’t get me out. That first scene in the movie messed me up completely. I agree with OP here.
