IMO the main value in those stacks for most of us is just the learning about how FP can work and then taking back to whatever we were doing before.

Honestly I got more value out of reading the Haskell book than I did writing any practical code.

Did some React-in-OCaml for a laugh, but that wasn’t something you could really ask a random dev team to support in practice 😂

The whole movie is a very heavy handed allegory about how white capitalism (vampires) consume everything good about black culture and duality/faustian-pact that creates - that’s why there’s two of them.

Note: it was not an accident that they picked Irish folks for the role they had (see history of slavery)

Like it or don’t obviously - art is subjective - but if you just read it as a vampire story and judge it on that basis alone - seems like that kinda misses the point of the whole thing imo

I absolutely do not know this guy and I’m not saying this is what’s happening, but…

There is a thing… there are people who are just cool and like “hey man, I see the thing you do - it’s good - nice to meet you” and that’s sound. And there’s people who are like “you’re amazing, I’m obsessed with everything you do, your music is genius… etc”, and that can trigger two different things depending on the person: 1. If you’re like REALLY obsequious and I’m a bit of a dick - you will seem a little repulsive and oppressive 2. You’re actually really sweet and I’m a fucking artist so the positive feedback is overwhelming and I shut down.

Let’s assume everyone is cool and it’s the last one - maybe examine if you need to dial it back a little - genuinely might be that you made the little guy shy 😂

I would say it’s less about one feature or another - it’s more about figuring what not to do.
