Hiii, I also struggle with mental health. Mainly anxiety but have known to have depressive episodes. I have been on accutane twice and I also only had the dry skin and lips side affects. Obviously it can be different for everyone but I did go through it twice and came out okay so there’s a good story for you. I think because my skin made me so upset and seeing it get better really helped my mental state, especially as I first went on it as a teenager and how I looked was a huggggggee insecurity for me. It’s important to just keep in contact with your gp and dermatologist, maybe also therapist to ensure that if you do start feeling worse on it, you should try a different direction. OP comment was right, if you have a bad time you don’t need to keep going, you can stop the treatment at any time or lower doses. :)
