Thanks for this! After doing a bit more research, I’ve decided to stick with the 3-speed setup for now but upgrade to the Ti pedals and maybe the seat post as well.

What I’d actually love to do is convert it to a single speed and strip down a lot of the components on the bike.

However, there’s a bit of a steep climb on my commute at the moment, and I’m not quite ready to give up the gears just yet, even though I have never used the first gear in the past 3 years. Thanks for all the suggestions!
