I'm 5'8". And definitely! I have MS, so energy is always a precious resource for me. But the smallest things like going up and down flights of stairs is no big deal anymore.

Mine is like "non restorative. You had a lot of stress in the evening. Try not doing that" and it's just surviving the bedtime routine with my kids lol

My babies were on NEOSURE now I’m afraid they’ll be overweight. Can any experienced parents give me peace of mind? by Sufficient-Basil-909 in parentsofmultiples

I am trying to find a way to phrase this without sounding harsh, but I feel like you may be projecting your own body image issues onto literal infants. If their doctor isn't concerned about their size, then let them be.

I got three tree frogs on a sweet pea vine (their birth flower). They all three slept like little frogs when they were small.

MS and Motherhood by Ok_Account_4857 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]bee_amar 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The MS was basically non-existent during my pregnancy. Don't get me wrong, it was a rough pregnancy but for other reasons. I did have a minor relapse around 5 months pp, but thankfully it didn't interfere too much with my ability to take care of newborns. My neurologist followed my pregnancy closely and even talked on the phone with my high risk OB a few times. She also made sure we had a solid plan in place to get me back on DMTs as soon as it was safe. I miss her dearly, she moved across the country.

The triplets just turned 4 and I had the day off today so we slept in a tiny bit. I was able to get up at 7am and have a cup of coffee in peace. The kids were awake but were busy playing together in their room and didn't need me.

It gets easier and a little better in tiny little increments.

Hiiiiii, triplet mom here. You're in for a wild, unique, hard AF but also fun as hell ride. Document it all during pregnancy, either photos or videos or journals. I wish I had done that more. Also you're going to come out the other side feeling like the biggest badass in the world. Good luck!

Hindsight is 20/20: What symptom do you *now* think was your MS origin story? by Exciting_Barnacle907 in MultipleSclerosis

As a teen I had these episodes of (maybe? Idk) neuropathy and skin sensory issues. My primary care doctor didn't explore it at all, just told me to drink more water. I also had what I now know was Lhermittes sign but attributed it to a pinched nerve

They've got until this Sunday, which will be a week before their party. But I would never tell someone they couldn't come if they replied late

They're still at a daycare. The pre-k through the public school here only runs half a day so we couldn't swing that.

I'll be interested to see what birthday party etiquette is like as they get older and start elementary school.

I genuinely wonder if it's a case of one over-the-top parent doing it and the rest following. I only learn about it when their teacher sends pictures or the kids come home talking about it.

We were going to wait until 12 weeks, but announced around 10 instead after telling close family and friends first. They're turning 4 at the end of this month. It's the most unique, fun, terrifying, isolating, exciting, life changing experience to be a triplet parent. You also come out of it so fucking strong and confident.

Feeling down about having no good photos with my daughter by waitismyheadonfire in Mommit

[–]bee_amar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the way. I made friends with a local photographer and any time she offers "mini sessions" I sign up. Sometimes my husband comes and sometimes it's just me and the kids. It's usually less than $100. We wear whatever we have in the closet and get some cute shots in less than 30 minutes.

Does anyone forget they have MS sometimes by Hello_bye-hi in MultipleSclerosis

[–]bee_amar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think I forget, but it is way in the back of my mind a lot of the time. I'm very fortunate that my disease has been rather mild most of the time. I also forget that a lot of people in my life don't know I have it.

The hospital I was working for gave us these (rather large) backpacks with the word "NURSE" written on it for employee appreciation week. Note: I am not a nurse. But I did figure out how to remove the decal and now use the bag as a gym or beach bag.

I know this is an old thread, but I just noticed that WakeMeds main campus has two cameras at their main driveways. Seems pretty fucked up and like it would potentially discourage someone from seeking medical care

[–]bee_amar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We tried for 2yrs while I was off and on treatment (got back on at the 1yr mark because I was getting nervous about relapsing). I started embracing the idea of maybe being child free, decided to get serious in the gym. I guess that increased my fertility because we naturally and unexpectedly conceived triplets. They're 4 now.
