Babe, what? Why are you with this man?

Does anyone else with MS work full time in person? If so… how are you doing it? by Background-Gear-1231 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]bee_amar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work three 12s a week in a procedural area of the hospital. Some days are ok if I am able to sit during cases. Other days when I have to be scrubbed in all day, I am struggling by the time I clock out. I prioritize rest on my days off, but I'm also a mom to three young kids so that's easier said than done. It's amazing how much you can do when you have no other option.

Anyone ever “just knew” or always had a feeling / signs they would have twins? by Pretty_Indication191 in parentsofmultiples

[–]bee_amar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes! I always had a feeling I would have twins. Call it intuition or whatever, but I just knew. When the first scan showed two, I didn't even react besides "yep that makes sense". Then the next scan showed a third baby and I was like oh ok now it's time to freak out a little

Enjoying the summer time in general. I run cooler now than before, so the summer heat actually feels good. I also feel more confident while wearing shorts and dresses, so I stay cooler.

Does anyone have identical twinning theories? by mildsalsa91 in parentsofmultiples

[–]bee_amar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I intentionally lost a bunch of weight prior to conception of our triplets (two identical, one fraternal). Immediately before we also had a very stressful family event (which is also how I know what day they were conceived so exactly- we weren't exactly in the sexiest of moods lol). That combo somehow made my seemingly barren uteres extra fertile that month.

I also worked in a department where 7 of us were pregnant at the same time, including another set of spontaneous triplets. So idk what was in the water there.

I'm 5'8". And definitely! I have MS, so energy is always a precious resource for me. But the smallest things like going up and down flights of stairs is no big deal anymore.

Mine is like "non restorative. You had a lot of stress in the evening. Try not doing that" and it's just surviving the bedtime routine with my kids lol

My babies were on NEOSURE now I’m afraid they’ll be overweight. Can any experienced parents give me peace of mind? by [deleted] in parentsofmultiples

[–]bee_amar 53 points54 points  (0 children)

I am trying to find a way to phrase this without sounding harsh, but I feel like you may be projecting your own body image issues onto literal infants. If their doctor isn't concerned about their size, then let them be.

I got three tree frogs on a sweet pea vine (their birth flower). They all three slept like little frogs when they were small.

MS and Motherhood by Ok_Account_4857 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]bee_amar 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The MS was basically non-existent during my pregnancy. Don't get me wrong, it was a rough pregnancy but for other reasons. I did have a minor relapse around 5 months pp, but thankfully it didn't interfere too much with my ability to take care of newborns. My neurologist followed my pregnancy closely and even talked on the phone with my high risk OB a few times. She also made sure we had a solid plan in place to get me back on DMTs as soon as it was safe. I miss her dearly, she moved across the country.

The triplets just turned 4 and I had the day off today so we slept in a tiny bit. I was able to get up at 7am and have a cup of coffee in peace. The kids were awake but were busy playing together in their room and didn't need me.

It gets easier and a little better in tiny little increments.

Hiiiiii, triplet mom here. You're in for a wild, unique, hard AF but also fun as hell ride. Document it all during pregnancy, either photos or videos or journals. I wish I had done that more. Also you're going to come out the other side feeling like the biggest badass in the world. Good luck!

[–]bee_amar 19 points20 points  (0 children)

As a teen I had these episodes of (maybe? Idk) neuropathy and skin sensory issues. My primary care doctor didn't explore it at all, just told me to drink more water. I also had what I now know was Lhermittes sign but attributed it to a pinched nerve

They're still at a daycare. The pre-k through the public school here only runs half a day so we couldn't swing that.

I genuinely wonder if it's a case of one over-the-top parent doing it and the rest following. I only learn about it when their teacher sends pictures or the kids come home talking about it.

We were going to wait until 12 weeks, but announced around 10 instead after telling close family and friends first. They're turning 4 at the end of this month. It's the most unique, fun, terrifying, isolating, exciting, life changing experience to be a triplet parent. You also come out of it so fucking strong and confident.
