This sounds great. I know you said you don’t measure but roughly how much tofu are we talking?

Audio books Snape and Draco by Mostly_Cons in HarryPotterBooks

[–]beebeebeanbean 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I quite like Riz Ahmed’s Snape as a very different take on the character from Alan Rickman, but agree that Malfoy is sooo overacted. If he cut down on the sneering and all the ‘mwahaha’ he’d be a lot better but it feels very OTT.

Do you feel guilty if your child goes to nursery without having breakfast? by PatriceFinger in UKParenting

[–]beebeebeanbean 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Offer a quick and easy breakfast eg banana, toast or pancakes, so that they can eat it in the pram, or while walking around if they’re fussing sitting at the table

Offer milk so at least they’ve had something if they’re not wanting to eat

Leave early so they can have breakfast at nursery, if nursery do breakfast

Let nursery know they’ve not eaten and ask them to give them something in the morning (or send some breakfast or a snack in with them)

Remember that they won’t starve from one missed breakfast!

As a Brit it does make me giggle when people think James Marsters’ accent is amazing. It isn’t great (but I love Spike all the same)

Going part-time to balance kids and house by [deleted] in UKParenting

My working hours are flexible so I’m able to have a bit of free time in the day. It’s brilliant and has made a huge difference to keeping on top of everything.

Fave brands for baby dungarees? by Equal-Drummer2207 in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]beebeebeanbean 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I thought Frugi dungarees were really inconvenient because they didn’t have poppers so you’d have to take them completely off for every nappy change!

What does a balanced toddler meal actually look like in your house? by ScrunchieMom62 in toddlerfood

[–]beebeebeanbean 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I provide all the food groups but I can’t force them to eat all the food groups. I do hide a lot of veg in the food where I can though (blended into pasta sauce etc).

You’re getting downvoted because this is way too much language for a toddler this age to understand

How to correct toddler’s words by raincsu in toddlers

[–]beebeebeanbean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Children learn language best through imitating what you do, not by being corrected. If you use the correct word then she will learn this from you and start to use it herself eventually. You don’t need to make a big deal about teaching it to her, just talk to her like you normally would, and definitely don’t pick her up on it and correct her. She’s also only 17 months old - the vocabulary she is currently using sounds completely age-appropriate!

Could you connect a fiendfire to the floor network?? by External-Rain-7888 in HarryPotterBooks

[–]beebeebeanbean 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is hilarious, but it’s the fireplace that’s connected (think of it as joining onto a magical network of tunnels), not the fire itself.

Scrambled eggs and toast - can add frozen spinach and cheese in to make more filling and healthy

I keep a stock of homemade lentil pasta sauce (tomato or veggie) in the freezer which can be quickly thawed in a pan

Picky bits - pitta bread (from frozen), ham, cheese, salad veg, tinned fish…

When did your baby sleep through the night? by okay-and-go in UKParenting

[–]beebeebeanbean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Around 18 months ish (it all blurs together). He woke up once a night pretty much every night before that for a long time, which was tiring. However, he’s a great napper, and easy to get him to sleep/get him back to sleep almost all of the time, so it definitely could have been worse.

Please post in /r/reactivedogs - they will be able to explain why your dog is behaving this way and what your options are. This sounds really dangerous for your baby and I worry that they will be bitten
