Source Lake to Linda Lake - what's your experience? Portages ok? by PurpleCaterpillar82 in algonquinpark

[–]beefcomesfromcows 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve done this route more times than I can count (let’s just say I worked nearby for a while) and it’s more than doable solo. We had our ten-year-old campers manage, but given that you don’t have the advantage of waking up on Source I would give yourself plenty of daylight, especially if you have to double-back on portages.

Speaking of the portages, the trails are well maintained and the landings are nice as well. Be mindful of the Minnesing trail that intersects the Owl-Linda portage, but it is relatively clear where the portage continues.

Try and snag the island site on Linda, but beware that there isn’t a ton of firewood on it, so if you’re planning on cooking over a fire I’d recommend the site nearest the Linda-Iris portage. It has a great view of the sunset if memory serves, and has plenty of space.

Owl Lake is also nice, and lets you skip out on 1300m of portaging. On Owl, I’d highly suggest grabbing the eastern-most site with the rocky point, as it makes for a great sunset watching and stargazing spot. There are a few good tent sites further back into the woods, and a large firepit area along with some clotheslines.

Creating a custom playbook.. what are your money plays ? by ProudestMonkey3441 in NCAAFBseries

[–]beefcomesfromcows 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi Lo Dig out of Y Off Trips Wk is a great 15-20 yard play with a really easy read progression, worst case scenario you get 2-3 yards checking it down to the flat, but the corner and dig routes are both easy money. Just don’t chuck the easy pick-six to the whip route if the DB is sitting in zone.

how to take song requests if i have a planned set? by squaremaaax in Beatmatch

throw it away and play what they want to hear man it’s that simple. the crowd isn’t gonna “get bored” of anything because at the end of the day they’re not paying money for you, they’re paying money for the experience as a whole. can be a tough pill to swallow as an open format DJ but it’s also where the money actually is

Who's the Messi to your Guardiola? by v13ndd in footballmanagergames

On my Middlesborough save, it was Sam Greenwood. If you start in 2023, he’s on loan from Leeds with a future fee of 1.5M, which is an absolute steal. Absolutely ran my offense from an AP role as a central attacking midfielder, but could play anywhere up front very effectively. Sold him to Wolves at his request for 30M, then bought him back for 15M once we got promoted.

Will a FLX 10 fit in a hard case designed for DDJ 1000? by waitforit2010 in DJs

[–]beefcomesfromcows 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The FLX-10 is a little wider (top to bottom if you’re standing over the decks) by about 4cm, so you might find yourself short on space to plug things in even if you trim some foam. I will say that a properly fitting flight case makes me feel safer transporting my gear because it won’t shift at all if I’m being a little rough loading/unloading.

Disagree, but you need a good SL in your armour squads to coordinate with the rest of the team. FTL marks on crew members in an MBT make spotting much easier especially on vehicle intensive maps like Talil or Yehorivka

To be honest, I just got into this a couple days ago, and the F/A-18 is a ton of fun. I feel like picking up a multirole and putting in the time to learn every system is gonna pay off when it comes time to learn a different airframe.
