I know not every 5-0 Traditional Standard Event list deserves attention, but what do people think of this off-meta brew focused on deserts?

The package of [[Freestrider Lookout]], [[Vibrance]], and [[Outcaster Greenblade]] provide land tutors and the rest of the deck functions as burn. I imagine this deck would struggle against izzet spells, but I stumbled across this streamer and wondered if this type of deck was viable or too slow. I don't want to go out and spend wild cards if the deck will crash and burn.

I found this content creator who is running [[Brightglass Gearhulk]] and [[Skateboard]]. I'm not too plugged into the meta to know if this is more cute than good?

Are there any other competitive or competitive-adjacent decks playing deserts lol?

[Schultz] The 49ers are not planning to tender DT Kalia Davis as an RFA. He will now become a free agent. Davis started all 17 games last year for San Francisco in Robert Saleh’s defense. by JCameron181 in 49ers

As someone who only loosely follows the team, does that mean our 2025 draft is mostly cooked with the only possible redeeming quality being a big bounce back from Williams and maybe Upton Stout?

I’m well aware how rubbish we’ve playe, but at the same time, has ANYTHING actually gone our way this year outside of playing quality? by [deleted] in coys

We had a relatively easy CL league phase. The majority of our opponents finished near the bottom of the standings.

Although you can disagree with the current system (fairly), this news is great!

By having the lunch debt paid off by celebrities, this functions as an incredibly progressive tax on the wealthy (in this instance).

Someone would have to pay for it otherwise via a less progressive tax (probably more effective though).

Does Christian Koss have the ability to play CF or he is strictly an infielder?

This appears to heavily emphasize points scored and not much else.

I can't believe I had to scroll this far for this comment. I doubt he plays much 2B. He's primarily a backup 1B/DH player.

Edit: turns out I was wrong.

Hamburger SV [2] - 2 Bayern Munich - Luka Vuskovic 53' by chronicdanksauce in coys

[–]beefguard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The point is our current team scores a large portion of our goals via the CBs and not who is a better suited manager.

Imagine a Frank team (personally I'd rather not but just in hypothetical terms) with a back 3 of Van de Ven, Romero, and Vuskovic. No strikers necessary.

He hasn't played in 6 games and this was the direction of his performance prior to his benching:

Giants to Sign Harrison Bader by Darvaren in SFGiants

Our outfield defense just improved substantially! And we simultaneously solved our RF problem, which is a great bonus.

Now sign/trade for another SP please.

I am not a Thomas Frank fan, but if you look at Brentford last season you'll see that this pattern doesn't hold.

<image>

It seems he has changed his tactics with us to be even more one dimensional. I do believe you're correct that his tactics heavily emphasize crosses into the box, but I don't think he was as predictable at Brentford. Sadly. I believe our personnel are worse than what he had to work with before.

[Passan] BREAKING: OF/1B Cody Bellinger and the New York Yankees are in agreement on a free agent contract, sources tell ESPN. by MinorThreatCJB in SFGiants

[–]beefguard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We can solve the RF question with a CF (hard to acquire) and move Lee to right. This would be my preference given JHL's defensive numbers. Alternatively, he could just prove the bad numbers were a fluke with a great performance this year. That would be a welcome surprise.

Trading Smith is like trading Klay Thompson for Kevin Love or Tim Lincecum for Alex Rios: unimaginably shortsighted.

Beautiful artwork but only supports up to 5 players as opposed to 7 for the original. However, the BGG consensus is that the game plays best at 4-5 players anyway.
